I think you will need a diagram. I would order a "Chilton" manual for your year, make and model. eBay sells them.

What is the heater hose routing on an 86 mercury grand marquis 5.0

Look at the fire wall you will see two hoses going through the wall they are 3/4 inch they will be your heater hoses one routes out the back of the intake manifold I believe the other is by the ECM valve.
Are you missing your heater hoses if so it may be that you have a bad heater core have you owned this car for long. If you are needing to reinstall all your hoses look on You Tube you will probably find a video telling you how to do it.

Where does the hose. top-front of carb connect to ?

It probably broke off from a Tee fitting. Three hoses connect at one junction point. After it breaks off, you will only see two hoses that look like a single hose, but with a plastic connector holding them together. Also at that junction point, you will have a hole in the plastic connector, where the hose that came off the carb belongs. This broken Tee fitting creates a vacuum leak. Purchase a new Tee fitting, disconnect the old part, then install the new one.

Need a vacuum hose routing diagram for a 2002 Chevy S-10, 4.3 engine. I have a vacuum hose (from transmission) that does not terminate at an apparent location. Is is currently open-ended. There are...

Thinking this third hose is the actual vacuum hose that goes to the T near the vacuum reservoir located in the drivers side fender just below the antilock brake assembly. There is a one way valve in the line from the transmission to the T.

Missing EAR diagram and hoses

Try your local public library, they have many car makers service manuals. Make a copy of the vacuum routing diagram page so you don't have to check out the book.
