Fitting a toggle switch for starting used to be a budget method of overcoming starter switch and other problems on older cars but will not work where the standard ignition key contains a transponder.

You haven't provided enough detail for a good answer but wiring a (spring return type) toggle switch to operate the starter motor is relatively easy and requires only a battery live and a wire to the starter solenoid or to the coil of the starter relay if you wish to use a relay.
Mostly these wires can be extended from the existing harness to the new switch.

Lost keys to my S-10 2003 2.2L 2wd need to put in a toggle switch so I can start no security chip on key

You can jump in a toggle switch all you want ,still won't start an run . The theft deterrent system has been incorporated into the body control module (BCM). The theft deterrent is provided in order to prevent the vehicle operation if the correct key is not used in order to start the vehicle. The ignition key turns the lock cylinder. The cylinder rotation produces an analog voltage code in the Passlock™ sensor. This voltage code is received by the BCM. The BCM compares the voltage code to the previously learned voltage code. If the codes match, a class 2 message is sent from the BCM to the powertrain control module (PCM)/vehicle control module (VCM). The message enables the fuel injectors.
Your best bet , have a mobile lock smith come an cut you a new key . Your just going to make more problems for yourself trying to jump in toggle switches .

Can someone please tell me how to wire in a toggle switch for my blinkers the cam is busted I have no choice at the moment

ill believe you, no cash for a new combo switch.
they are not cheap .
so last time i did this at 15 yo. (paper boy; poor)
id use a war surplus toggle switch.
after all its just a center off switch.
but you need to buy the right switch.
and wire it up just like the old switch.
if you had the schematic, id not have to write 10000 words like above. in fact that is what schematics are for, replacing zillion words.

but hark, ? no car stated, no year , no model cars
so i cant just post the schematic.

but got and read.
see this (use single pole double throw switch , aka: SPDT.with center off. ( sells them) as do walfart.

12v >>blinder module out>>> switch common, switch left out, to left blinker, switch outright to right blinker, wire.
no auto cancel now.
here is a random car,
see the red circle, its really s SPDT switch with center off.
if you wire like this IT WILL WORK.
that is if the other parts are good there. on the right.

someone-please-tell-me-wire-in-toggle-0jkftiqau1wcuvsqxdqhiw1i-3-0.jpgid not do this today, as it a hack.
and hacks are for kids. (IMO)
id find a used switch or buy one new.
but that costs big money and is a ton of work
if car has air bags do not do this until you defeat them per the FSM book, or risk life or broken neck.

or use hand signals until you save up the cash?
its still legal to do that in most states.
many classic cars have no blinkers, at all.
or option 2:
buy what we call emergency tow car or trailer light kit, (clamps on)and you wire it to power
and adds a switch and you have temporary lights.
but that costs money too..
i cant think of much that don't cost money.
all cars are money pits.
day1 or all the time old.

and the tickets you will get, are more than the switch.

1994 toyata camry the alarm goes off and will not let me start the car.

factory security does not have toggle switches as far as I know so it is probably an aftermarket system. Try one of two things, turn the toggle switch the oposite direction with battery disconnected. Reconnect the battery and try again, the horn will beep a few times when you reconnect. try starting. If that doesn't work, disconnect the battery and turn the key to the on position and reconnect the battery and the horn will sound but will go off get in the car and try to start. It should start and run normally. shut car off, then you should be able to return the toggle switch to the previous position If this happens again turn the toggle switch to the opposite position with the batterry disconnected and turn the key switch to the on position and reconnect the battery and start when started go see a service that installs aftermarket systems and they should be able to reset it security system Hope this helps

Schematics for cjb100pd

Red is your positive, black is negative, both brown wires are to the speaker, and the yellow and green wire are for any emergency strobe lights you may want to hook up to it. P.S. if you wire up the brown wires and siren doesn't work make sure volume is turned up and try it again if it doesn't work then switch the brown wires around. Both toggle switches on the far right is to only turn the lights on. not the siren. Make sure the siren nob is turned all the way left thats off. The rest of the are just siren modes. The toggle switch all the way to the left. Push down horn comes on release it then horn goes off. Push up siren comes on for like 7-10 seconds and the goes off. Horn and your microphone always override any siren that may be on.

93 mustang 2.3 liter starter relay wiring

This may help.A relay is just a switch that's used to isolate a control circuits power source from the device's that it's being used to switch. On motor vehicles the relay is genarally grounded to the chassis and all you need to supply is a positive lead to turn it on.Here's a quick schematic,The negative is to the chassis, the positive leads need to be kept on separate circuits, but note the relay can switch either direction.f7e76fd.png

Toggle switch attached to battery or starter

first of all i need to know if the vehicle will start without the toggle switch? if it does then you can just remove it if the vehicle will not start without turning the switch on you should know that the initial power is from this switch so mostly you have problem in the ignition switch and you have to repair or replace the ignition switch before yo disengage the toggle switch.
