How to adjust the head light in lancer 2005

There are usually some adjustment/aligning bolts on the back of the headlight. You will have to park your car perpendicularly to a wall about 25 feet away from the car. Then you will adjust and align the bolts on the back. You will have to open the hood as the alignment bolts are on the back of the headlight which is accessible from the engine compartment side. There are usually 3 alignment bolts per headlight. You may have to chalk up a pattern on the wall when you do this. How do i adjust headlight on scoda octavia

I would try taking the headlight out and try refitting it again the headlights should not go out of alignment just because you change a bulb,(check the plastic nut at back of the headlight near the top) however the if you need to adjust it the adjusters are on the plate that the headlight sits on you will need a torque bit to loosen off the screws to adjust them

Do i need to do an alignement after installing a new headlight assembly?

You may have to, but not typically. As long as your headlights are installed properly, and your lights are even, it is not needed. To check alignment, park the car 10 ft. in front of a wall of a building or garage and check the alignment. You will know right away if they are out of alignment.

Drivers light point across lane into ditch, not at all forward. How do you adjust

Park your vehicle on level ground (preferably) facing your garage door or an available wall. Get yourself a screwdriver (usually a phillips head) and an adjustable wrench or selection of sockets. Turn the headlights on but do not start the car if possible. If your battery is close to dead, you can start the car, but be *extremely* mindful not to touch ANY moving parts in the engine during the next steps. You have been warned.
Looking at the garage door or wall, you will be able to see how badly aligned your headlights are. Open the hood to your vehicle. Look at the top of the headlights as seen from under the hood. There will be a set of screws on each one: One that controls the X (horizontal) alignment, and one for the Y (verticle) alignment. By turning the screws, you will (slowly) move the headlight. Make adjustments to these screws until the headlight in question matches the other one.

Changed passenger side headlight bulb, now unable to adjust or align head lights

Changing the bulb should not have affected the housing adjustments.

The bulb is just inserted into the headlight housing. The adjustments on the headlight housing is what adjusts the alignment of the headlights.

Did you maybe not get the bulb not seated correctly in the socket? Or didn't get the socket not seated correctly into the housing?
