Assuming the question is about cars and trucks I adivise you to visit your friendly local repair shop or spares trade shop. They will either be able to match your bulb or have an application catalogue. An alternative will be to read your car handbook and apart from discovering what type of bulb you need you will also find fitting instructions.

A vehicle driver is supposed to know how to change the bulbs in all the obligatory lights of whatever they drive.

Yes you can just unscrew the bulb and there will be no problems. If it is a screw in type just unscrew it and if it is a bayonet type push in and twist it to get it out.

Mazda cx7. both high beams work and one low beam works. how can i tell if its a headlight or some other problem

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. These new lights have two types lin one bulb, one for the low beam and one for the high beam. Find the bulb that isn't lighting for the low beam and replace it with a new bulb. If it doesn't work, you need to check the wiring to that specific light. Since it is only one, the new bulb should work.

How do I change the headlight bulb in my Nissan Pathfinder

Hope this helps and please don't forget to rate! This helps us help you' Thanks!

Removal & Installation

The headlamp is a semi-sealed beam type which uses a replaceable halogen bulb. The bulb can be replaced from the engine compartment side without removing the headlamp body.

  1. Disconnect the battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the harness connector from the back side of the bulb.

Try replacing with the same bulb type as was failed. Flasher unit isusually reliant on resistence from the bulbs to what speed that side will flash at when powered. Some of these led type have less resistence and that equates to a faster flash speed. That is why when one bulb blows that side will flash faster or may even stay on without flashing. You could even swap the led to the other side( to confirm.Check with the bulb retailer to whether they have those bulbs with a higher rated resistence in led.If this vehicle has leds as standard, you may need to get the correct type from dealer. Hope this helps or get back with findings if it still has fault after replacing bulb.

i believe on this car, low beams & fog lights use an HB4 and high beam uses an HB3. but, as bmw_tech_38 mentioned above, remove the old and it should be listed in the base.

The 2003 Sable has the same headlight assembly and removal/replacement instructions as the 2001 Sable. Once I had this information in hand, bulb replacement was easy.
