Check the fuel pump fuse and swap the relay to start. After that replace the fuel filter. After that is the fuel pump.

I have the same car, and when that happened to me it was the starter. It wasn't too hard to replace.

it's probably your starter, buut you might check your gear shift if it is an automatic, and make sure it is in park all the way...

the immobilizer system is in lock mode. Sometimes cycling the key will bring it out of lock mode. Turn the key to the on position for 5 seconds, then off for 5 seconds for 5 times or more then recheck.
If that doesn't work you may be able to reset the control unit by removing both battery cables and touching them together for a few seconds. This procedure drains the control unit capacitors and they revert to their prelearned values.

2002 saturn sl won't start, turn over but won't start

If the engine fires up for a second or two with starting fluid then the fuel pump is weak.I would check the fuel pressure and if its not within the specs then replace the pump and filter.

When i turn the key it cranks and starts but turns off right away. Th only way it remains on is if i give it gas as i turn it on. Someone please help

Here are a couple of things that I would suggest you check because they can all lead to the problem that you are having:
  1. Fuel Filter, if it has been a long time since you have replaced it, it might just be slightly clogged and needs a little help getting the gas there to begin with.
  2. IAC valve, the idle air control valve can cause this when it is starting to go bad
  3. Fuel Pressure Regulator, like the name says, it regulates fuel pressure and when it starts to go bad it has symptoms like you have.
Let me know if you have any questions.  Good Luck!  Thanks for an honest rating and for using FixYa!

Primary ignition fault. Reasons: Bad distributor cap (most likely) or ignition control module/ignition coil.
Hope that helps

My 2002 Nissan Maxima hesitates to start

if vehicle hesitates to start do you mean long cranking time (posible fuel pump) or no crank at all then suddenly starts then it is possible starter solenoid (notorious) - complete starter assembly needs replacement.
