Hello, Just follow the wire from the heater fan under the hood. Trace the power wire from the heater fan and it will join a connector midway on the Firewall. It will have 2 screws and 1 electric connector. Tap the connector with a screwdriver handle and see if the part starts working again.

If it does not, get a used or new blower resistor. Work on a cold engine and remove the screws and connector from the part. Temporarily plug in the new part to the connector and turn the Key to run with the fan ON. It should be blowing now. Turn off the switch and put the new part where you can reach it with 1 hand.

Undo a heater hose at the top rear of the motor going in front of the opening for the switch. With 1 hand remove the hose end, then switch parts with the new blower resistor with the other hand and slide the heater hose back on its fitting. Tighten the heater hose.

Then secure the new part into the Firewall and fasten its connector. You should have lost little Antifreeze by working on a cold engine as the hydraulic lock kept the fluid from running out.

This should be all you need to do except clean any spills away.

Fan motor stays on one speed. Doorlocks&alarm only work when its cold out. 2000 Bettle. Thankyou for the help.

A/c heater control head, bad fan switch. ( I presume you are referring to the heater blower fan ,)

Locks need lubrication or replacement. You could try spaying WD40 down past the window when it's down into the lock area and into the key slot in the outer handle.

I've had my 2004 Nissan Sentra to several mechanics. It's still there. No one can figure out why I'm only getting cold air, no heat. (for weeks now). I paid for new thermostat, water hose, radiator. ...

Assuming they checked the controls under the dash and everything is working, lets try to bleed the air from the cooling system. An air lock in the heater core could stop it from getting warm. You will need a gallon of antifreeze and a jack to raise the car. Here we go: remove the radiator cap. Set the parking brake, transmission in park, block the rear wheels. Jack up the front of the car so that the radiator is higher than the engine. Start the engine and put the heater controls on the hottest setting but don not turn the heater on. With the engine running, look in the radiator, the coolant at this point should not be moving, or flowing through the radiator because the thermostat has not reached the temperature required for it to open. If the coolant is flowing at this time, then the thermostat is open and should be replaced. Let the engine warm up and watch the coolant level. When the thermostat opens up, the coolant level will drop, and you will be able to see the coolant flowing or moving in the radiator. Add enough antifreeze to fill the radiator ack up. The coolant level will probably drop again, Add more coolant as required. Repeat this process until the coolant level stabilizes and no longer drops while there is flow or movement of the coolant. Replace the radiator cap and lower the jack. Turn the heater on. If the problem was an air lock in the heater core, you should now have warm air blowing from the heater.. Something else to observe is the cooling fan for the radiator. If the electric cooling fan was running the whole time the engine was running, then the switch controlling the fan is bad. The fan should not come on until the radiator is hot. If it runs all the time, the coolant won't get hot enough for the heater to work. Let me know is this works.

Heat fan stayed on when key off, killed battery, recharged battery, tried to pull fuse for heater fan, still ran, pulled power connector to fan. When tried to reconnect this morning, fan not working....

Did you remember to replace the fuse?. So, the fan kept running even with the controls in the off position? Were there any other accessories that would run with the key turned off?

When I turn off my ignition, my heater fan will keep running

I just started experiencing the same problem. Yes, typically after rainy days, I can never get the interior lights to go out after the ignition key has been removed. The car acts as if there is a door open. Now, my latest problem is with the heater fan. Of course, putting the control in the "off" position will turn it off but you can turn it on and off with no ignition key installed. I'm also having problems with my heater core too so it's been a pain in the but!!

I believe this problem has also caused my battery to die which is why I'm on this site in the first place!! I can't get into the car with the keys and the dead battery won't allow me to unlock the car!! When it rains it pours!!!

I have a 1996 GMC K2500 power staying on to my heater fan

Hardly seems worth changing the lock cylinder, since it is not that easy.
Just be more careful turning the ignition off.
Put in an ignition indicator light on the dash if you have to.

Seems like the car is staying in "ACC" (accesory key position)

BFC that body function controller. BFC batt fuse controls .the body function controller .its part of the PCM.the BFC controls anti theft system. your interior lights -drl lights- radio -door locks.if your check engine light is on take it to dealership.because your BFC and PCM works together. your car could shut off. that unsafe.when you on a busy have electrical problem.not a home fix.

Van is overheating and stays hot

first of all make sure that there is no air pockets left in the motor. these will cause an overheat right away.

the way to cure these is run engine with and radaitor funnel and once thermo opens, run the heater on high, this should take about 10 to 15 minutes.

You have a bad water pump!
