Question about Cars & Trucks
Your transmission is on it's last leg. You might try some transmission additive. If it works, it may take a day or two of driving, You may get another year or so out of the transmission. I used TRANX and got 3 years out of my dodge work truck before I rebuilt it.

Check the fluid while the engine is on in park..
If fluid is not low - it could be a vacume or modulator issue.. (the modular tells the trani when to shift via vacume presure)
Some shops give free estimates.

It needs rebuilding. The upper gear(s) are not locking in, so your likely wearing out your clutch when you drive fast. Get it rebuilt.

I think if you drove to work, only one day, only ten miles,
the damage is done
If the transaxle is from 1999 & original, just have it rebuilt
or install a reman
If the tach should you have one, flairs up at 30mph then it
is slipping,no fix for that
The thing I would think youv'e already thought of, is to
have a trans shop or some shop you like or sort of trust
check it out
