96gmc Sierra 5.7 vortec won't start OBD codep 0700 have replaced almost every thing as far as fire and fuel pressure is good what you think

Do you know how to test fuel pressure ? With a gauge ? How to test for spark ? Pull a spark plug wire an hold it near ground (metal on the engine ) Have a helper crank the engine . ( turn the key to start position ) Before replacing parts randomly you need to find what system isn't working correctly . Fuel , ignition , engine mechnical (compression ) P0700 is a transmision code Or a bad transmission control module is shorting out the system . Your best bet mite be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop .

vent from trans comes out of trans on the passenger side of the is located about 1/3 the way back on top of the trans.a rubber hose will be attached and usually connects with the transfer case vent hose.If the trans overheated chances are there is a problem with the transmission.if the fluid smells burnt you have bigger issues.

I changed the clutch in my 90 K1500 chevy 4x4 5 speed, now I have not got backup lights. I had backup lights up to that point. What advice does anyone have for me?

You may have left the backup light connector off the transmission or damaged the wiring to it, go under the truck and reconnect it to the sensor that is screwed into the case of the transmission.
