When the oil pressure is low on a Chevy trailblazer can it stop the fuel pump form working? How do I know if my oil pressure is low? Help me please

Yes the pump can be affected by low oil pressure.
I am assuming you don't have a gauge.
If the oil pressure is low, the engine should be making noise. If the sending unit is faulty, it could be causing the problem even if oil pressure is normal.
You can jumper the fuel pump relay to check the pump, and you can either replace the oil pressure switch or hook up a gauge to check oil pressure.

If the seals have gone will the car make a noise

You don't say which seals or which pump however via elimination if the oil seals have gone well yes you could have noise from damaged bearings ( most likely a whine or a grating sound). Water pump gone well sounds could start because of overheating, if bearing in water pump gone sometimes sounds like a rattle as impeller blades rub, Oil pump failure then yes as the engine struggles for lubrication you will hear plenty of noises ( Costly ones ) .If fuel pump fails they can make noise as they struggle to reach pressure but eventually will give out and your car will stop from fuel exhaustion. Whatever the reasons for this noise ( and you didn't make it clear where it's coming from or what type of noise ) you may want to get your car serviced, this may save you a whole lot of cash and maybe even your life, a car seizing up can cause a serious accident as everything locks up and you lose control if you can't check it out yourself seek a mechanic soon.

Oil presure

just a shot, but as with most pumps that are not sealed or submerged, they need to be primed.

Hi, I was driving my 2003 toyota runx 1.6 RT when the red oil light came on the dashboard. While I was driving the engine switched off. What could be the problem?

check oil levels every fill up of gas.
if you see drop of level then, then check more often.
same answer for 100 years, and will never change. (otto cyle engines, ICE)
if not, say good bye to $3000 for a new engine.

read the opr guide yet?

Whining when i press gas

normally, the only part of your automatic transmission that will make a whining noise is the pump. it usually whines when iether the fluid is low or more commonly when the transmission oil filter is getting plugged up.

the power steering pump will also make a whining noise too.

turn the wheel all the way to the right and hold steady pressure against the stop. this puts maximum force on the power steering pump and, if the power steering pump is the one making the whine, it will change the sound of it. (usually louder).

if the trans pump is making the whine noise, it should sound different in neutral compared to drive. this test will really only work if it make the noise without the vehicle moving. if it wont do it at idle hold the rpms at 2000 or so.

if you decide the noise is coming from the transmission, and the transmission filter has not been replaced (assuming you installed a used transmission), replace the filter by removing the oil pan.

oh and also, if it is the power steering pump you should be able to make it make the whining noise while the vehicle is stationary. if it wont make noise unless its moving its not the power steering pump.

Hi I am Vortash I have heard that the oil pump bearings do make a noise when they are failing this allows the oil impeller to touch the sides of the pump wall and make a scraping noise .. I have never actually heard it myself .. I would have tested oil pressure from the pump before re assembly and probably fitted a new oil pump at any case as the engine was stripped down that far ?. hope you find your problem sorted soon good luck regards Vortash

Hi i have a problem with my car i was coming from work and the oil pressure warning light went on then went i got home the engine was making a noise i check the oil level and was ok so i dont know what is...

when you see oil pressure warning light it is shows means no pressure from the oil pump.
so you got oil also you heard noise coming from the engine when there is no oil coming for lubrication simply all moving part makes noise like cam-shaft and cylinder head.

so check the oil pump pressure.
