You have a fuel leak in the engine compartment someware.
Take a vary close look at any fuel connections look for wet fuel around the throttle body and intake manifiold loose bolts to the manifold fuel lines .If the tank wore leaking you wouldn't smell it inside .
Another thing that could couse this is a problem with the fuel regulator for the injectors if its a chevy its common.
Its not the end of the world the vehicle will still run but will get worse so it needs to be corrected.
Good luck

Also see if the PVC connections coming out of the valve covers are full engaged into their fittings. Sometimes they come loose and engine gases pure into the engine compartment. You smell it when the car is not moving since the intakes for your vents are right in-front of the windshield wipers. Easy fix, snug them in if not damaged, zip-tie them if they are still loose.

Possibly a fuel leak. Of a leak in the inlet manifold. Get it checked to be safe.

GAS SMELL WHEN HEATER IS ON WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM

Usually means there is a fuel leak in the engine compartment, and the heater is pulling the fumes into the car thru the vents under the windshield.

Why would I get a gas fumes smell when car is sitting idle or just been shut off. Cannot find any leaks in gas tank or lines

gas is a very high evaporative liquid..fumes extremely strong..if overfull it will smell..and if emissions equipment has issues it will smell also.. when the engine gets hot, any gas present will vent off until the engine cools..thats the fuels evaporative nature..still keep an eye out for issues..

I see a misty smell like anti freeze coming through the vents in the car

Holy cow you can see smells?????

haha just messing. If you have the smell of anti freeze coming through the vents it means that the heater core needs to be replaced. The heater core cycles the hot engine coolant and uses that to warm the air to give you hot air. If you can smell it it is leaking into the vent system and needs to be replaced.

When i start my car and let it warm up for 5 minutes it smells like gas every morning only? What could it be?

someone who is qualified and trained needs to look at the fuel injection system. you are either building fuel up as it sits idle all night or the cold fuel enrichment needs an adjustment. both would cause the smell of unburned gas after an overnight sit.

Gas smell

There has to be a leak in the fuel system. Has it been checked while running? There will be at least 2 lines. One will be pressure and the other is a return.
