My 2000 F150 V8 fails to restart after a sustained trip at 70-75 miles an hour. After several hours of cooling down it will restart. Have flushed cooling system and replaced fuel filter.

Well the first things you need to check are when it will not start check the fuel pressure at the fuel pressure test port on the fuel supply rail to the injectors, after doing that hook up a scan tool and read the fault codes if any exist in the PCM memory.

I have a 1988 Dodge Dynasty that acts like it's vapor locking.

yes fuel pump is dying (it's old ) it will finnaly give up the ghost some day soon then engine won't run at all

common problem pump heats up and shuts off cools off and runs again cyclic

this all assumes you have kept up on changing the fuel filter at reg intervals too

when cold start is it take some time to run from clod ? if yes then injectors nozzles if not then it is the (coil) well cut off when engine is hot

98 honda shutts off and will not start until cooled off

you say the engine shuts down when it gets hot if it runs rough before doing so it could be the coolant temperature sensor allowing the engine to  overfuel  if the engine cuts out in a couple of seconds but sounds smooth it could be the fuel pump , if it cuts out instantly its electrical.

Problem when only when it's hot outside

This is a symptom of a bad coil. The car will generally idle well, and performance will deteriorate when the car (and the coil pack)warms up.
