Does it feel like you have good pedal pressure? Might try bleeding clutch, if you have good pressure its possible the clutch parts are wrong. Or were installed wrong, sorry

I just got a 1998 eclipse had to have it towed home it starts right up no problem but when it is running you cant get it to go in gear when it is off it will go in ever gear just fine any ideas

Standard transmission? If so, suspect a clutch issue. The tranny will most likely have to be removed to determine what has failed. Worn out clutch disk.... damaged pressure plate...... defective throw out bearing to name a few

2007 Mitsubishi eclipse spider just put in clutch kit now it will not engage I can put it in gear without car on and I can push the car back and forth

Sounds possible you have the friction plate in backwards and there is no clearance. Retrace your steps and check the clutch operating mechanism, then any gear linkage. With the clutch centre plate, the raised part of the spring carrier is usually facing outwards toward the pressure plate fingers.

Transmission issues with my 97 eclipse GT-S

you need to bleed your clutch. make sure the cap is on all the way, then have someone press the pedal to floor, open the bleed valve to let air escape and close it back. repeat it 3 or 4 times and it should take of your problem.

92'isuzu pick-up, 2.3L.manual tran. the truck starts and it goes into all gears, but it hardly moves.I adjusted the clutch cable and it got better I always had to adjust the cable. now it bearly move on...

Yes it is time to install a new clutch kit(clutch disc, pressure plate ,throw out bearing and pilot bearing)also have the flywheel resurfaced. The disc has gotten too thin to be clamped by the pressure plate.Best if you replace everything at once with new parts, avoid rebuilt parts.Good luck!

I need to adjust the clutch on a 1995 standard mighty max mitsubishi I changed the clutch disc, pilot bearing, throw-out bearing and pressure plate, but the clutch stays against the fly wheel when running...

You will need to turn the cable adjuster so there is only about 1/8 inch of free travel of the cable where it attaches to throw out fork before it starts to move the fork. Once the throw out bearing is achieving its full travel the clutch should release and enable gear selection.

TRAns prob.. 93 mitsubishi eclipse..

This usually indicates a pressure plate spring is bound up and/or throwout bearing. Here are a few things to check...You are certain there is no air in the system, including slave cylinder....The pedal free play adjustment is important as well. On the Galant there is a locknut you loosen, then turn the pushrod until the freeplay is correct.
Did you move the release bearing lever to engage the release bearing with the wedge collar on install? Clutch plate facing the right direction? Did you have the flywheel resurfaced? Input shaft on transmission ok? Will the car roll in gear?
Good luck..i hope this helps.
