I'm sure you have cked the fuses so take a look at the motor assembly at the trunk latch to see if you can dis connect it. Better yet, first tap the motor a few times and make sure it is tightly mounted. Loosen it and retighten the bolts holding it. Sometimes that will relieve and bind the mechanism may be in. Keep your fingrts clear of any mechanism. You shoul be able to hear any movement. good luck.

Could be tranny mounts, or it could be your differential going bad. Also, if you have a 4.9 instead of the 4.6 Northstar then there has been an engine swap, and you could be experiencing ATM or ECM problems.
