How do i remove and reinstall the distributor on ford falcon 4.0 1999 model

First make absolutely sure #1 cylinder is at top dead and the timing mark on the crank pulley is lined up. Pop off the distributor cap and check to see if the rotor is pointing to the #1 spark plug wire. Loosen the bolt that holds the clamp at the base of the distributor. Move it aside or remove it them pull up on the distributor and move it out.

Truck wont start

Check for spark at the distributor if no spark check or replace coil pack. also check to see distributor is turning while engine cranking, if not, possible worn out or broken gear tooth on shaft inside engine.
if distributor turns, check for burnt or worn out points and/or contacts on distributor cap.

Where is the oil pump on 1999 ford escort z2

oil pumps are located inside the engine, at the bottom. if your oil pump is gone, generally the engine as a whole is also shot. however you can buy a new one and pay someone to partially take the engine apart and replace it. however i would look around for a used engine with much lower mileage, and swap that into your car. that way everything inside the engine is newer, and all the parts have worn in and aged together. also you can buy an entire rebuilt engine and swap that in. a rebuilt engine is going to be 2 thousand anyway with at least 500 labor. for 1 thousand you can generally get someone to install a used engine.

I am looking for a power steering gear rebuld kit for a 1999 Ford ranger with a 4 cylinder engine. Can you assist?

You may be much happier with purchasing a rebuilt unit, typically there are many pieces that cannot be changed without special tools.

94 ford probe gt engine cuts out while driving,

The part that typically fails in the distributor of the 1993 and 1994Probe GTs is called the ignitor. The ignitors fail due to the highheat found in the cramped PGT engine compartment. Many rebuiltdistributors fail because they are rebuilt from distributors that haveignitors that have failed under high temperture conditions. Therebuilders bench test the rebuilt units at room temperature and theytest o.k. Then when the disty goes back into a hot engine compartment they quickly fail again. I've heard of people going through several rebuilt distys in PGTs within a few months. Avoid rebuilt units unless your hobby is installing distys on a weekly basis.

The best place to buy a new disty is eBay. There are a number of sellers that offer new distys for PGTs with upgraded ignitors that can withstand the heat. Don't go to a Ford dealer, they will charge you a fortune.

Another option is to jury rig a replacement ignitor with an inexpensive HEI module available for less than $20 at most auto part stores. This approach is complex and not for the faint of heart. You can read about that here.

BTW, a 1993 or 1994 Probe GT that experiences stalling along with the tach either dropping like a stone to zero while the car is still moving or the tach bouncing wildly is considered highly diagnostic of disty failure.
