Question about Cars & Trucks
It is likely the speed restriction is because the engine management light has come on.this is a yellow icon somewhere on your dash instrumentation.otherwise known as limp mode.this is designed to protect the engine from further damage but allow you to get home or to a garage.most often there is nothing sinister going on....it could be a sensor reading low oil pressure etc.most common cause is the electronic throttle...whatever it is that's causing this problem....it is highly likely the error codes are being saved in the ecu .electronic control unit....this can be read at a service centre or garage who can use diagnostic equipment to pinpoint what is going on...so get it to a garage and take things from there.
