i have been fooled by this one way to many times. when a wheel bearing or hub assesembly is making noise, it will sound like it is comming from the other side. i do not know why this is. but one test will prove if and which one. when growling noise occurs, notice, when turning left or right, does noise get louder and quieter as you turn? if so then it is wheel bearing. when turning left the right side will make more noise. when turning right the left side will make more noise. if always the same then, tires or transmission need addressing. the cv axle does not make a growling noise, unless front wheel drive car does not move, it makes a clicking or poping noise. sorry but at least you dont have to replace other axle
If it is filled up to the "full hot" mark then you are okay, fluid wise. It almost sounds like once it gets warmed up, it starts running better. The "growling" noise (especially when turning) could be from it not getting enough fluid. Other than that, your power steering pump maybe on its last legs, and it is taking time to warm up before it starts pumping fluid correctly. Just make sure that you power steering resevoir is completely filled to the proper mark.
Sounds like the fan needs to be replaced. But first, to check for obstructions, remove the carpet liner from the underside of the dash on the passenger side and you'll see the blower motor under the dash held in with three screws. If there's something obvious blocking it, remove it and reinstall the fan. If there's nothing blocking it, then you'll probably need to replace the fan. Any auto parts store, Rockauto.com or E-Bay will have the correct fan for your Grand Prix.
Normally a squeeling noise coming from the front wheel area would be the front brake disk pads getting too low. Normally when wheel bearings start to fail the noise they produce is more consistant which a growl noise.
Open the hood and start the car with the a/c off. Do all the components running on the drive belt seem to be working ok? Turn on the a/c and check to see if the symptoms repeat themselves... If with the a/c off everything is ok, then you're probably fine to drive until you can get the a/c unit serviced. If the symptoms are happening with the ac off, then it could be an idler pulley or a water pump or alternator, or powersteering. Best bet is to open the hood and do a bit of inspection/investigation with motor running.
