The output shaft on your automatic transmission is almost the last in a series of parts in the transmission. Bottom line, you have to remove the transmission and break it down. not for the amateur by any meansM

Automatic Transmission shifting pretty hard when driving.

Does it smell like the fluid is burnt? If is doesn't smell burnt you may have to check on the convertor. I had one and it shifted real hard and the torque converter had a crack in it. But before going thru that change your filter. If any shiny specks it is a over haul.

How do you change frost plugs in a 1987 ford f150 2wd 4speed manual transmission? the motor is a 300 straight 6

First question would be, is the current block heater not working. If so, all you need to do is take out the existing plug and replace. You shouldnt need to pop out any other plugs.

Call any ford dealer or auto shop they should provide this information free of charge, however it could be a clogged transmission filter.

Loosing oil on the output shaft of the transfer case, I changed the seal two times it's still leaking. I HAVE A LEAK AT THE INPUT SHAFT ON MY TRANSFER CASE. iS THERE A SEAL i COULD CHANGE, OR TRY A CAN OF...

90 percent of the time stop leak does not work. Usually the seal between the transmission and transfercase goes out and forces all the fluid into the transfercase and leaks out the rear seal. Or the tranfercase or transmission breather could be plugged.
