Drivers side low beam headlight went out, replaced the bulb but only works on high beam, any suggestions

using a test light check for powers and ground at the headlight socket. you say the high beam works so that pretty much says the ground is good. if the low beam terminal has no power you will have to see if your car has a fuse for each headlight, as you don`t say the year make and model you have. if you have power then check the socket for corrosion or a loose connection.

Check tour bulbs first and replace if blown. If OK then check wiring backwards from light to dip switch.

Replace the headlight dimmer switch on the steering column and check the connector to it fro signs of overheating, replace connector and switch as one repair. Do not use crimp connectors, solder all wires as needed and use shrink tube to insult the solder joints.

The low-beam headlights don't work. The fuses are fine as I replaced them with those of the high-beams and the high-beams worked. Other than both bulbs burning out at the same time what else could be...

Possibly the bulbs. Take a look at them; they have 2 coils per bulb, one for the low beam and one for the high beam. So it is possible that the more used low beam burns out before the lesser used high beam.

Headlight problem

High and low beams use different bulbs. Both of my low beams blow out at the same time. Replace the low beam bulbs.
