Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Sense Circuit Range / Performance
Number of Trips to Set Code: 1
Trouble Code Conditions:
EVAP vent valve stuck open: EVAP leak check pressure is lower than -0.14 kPa even if EVAP vent valve is operated from OFF (OPEN) to ON (CLOSE) with EVAP leak detection pump ON. EVAP vent valve stuck closed: EVAP leak check pressure is unstable (difference between maximum and minimum is 0.36 kPa or more) when EVAP vent valve is OFF (OPEN) with EVAP leak detection pump ON. EVAP leak detection pump stuck OFF: EVAP leak check pressure is higher than -0.14 kPa even if EVAP leak detection pump is ON. 2007 XL7 hard to start when adding gas only.

Yup, evap canister related. Replace the gas cap first, then replace the evap vent valve, then the evap canister. Replace 1 at a time till you fix your problem. If problem persists, report back.

This is what the code reader tells me. P161B, P0496,P2110, AND P2106 can you help me

P161B = Engine Torque Control - Limit Reached = the torque delivered by the motor has exceeded its rated value
P2106 = Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Limited Power
    and
P2110 = Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Limited RPM = the engine overrevved , pumped more power than it was rated for and it had to be forced to slow down by closing the throttle.
All this is caused by P0496 = Evap Emmission high--- purge flow fault = the evap valve got stuck in the fully open position, pumped a lot of fuel in the motor and acted like a fully opened throttle; have it cleaned and if that doesn't fixes, replace it.

2007 SILVERADO V6 EVAP PURGE SOLENOID

The evap purge solenoid is located on the intake manifold. The evap vent valve is located on the side of the fuel tank. If you have a P0449 or P0452 (I think) DTC, it will be the one on the tank that you need to replace.
