If after reprogramming failed to stop the flashing; a defect on the main board may be an indication of a bad diode.

Fob key problems

You need to have the spare reprogrammed as it has an immobiliser chip that sends a signal to the cars ecu so if the ecu doesn't recognise the chip the engine won't start.

1999 vauhall zarira flashing engine light, starts but want run

Hi when you say it starts do you mean it turns engine over but not running , if so open you key fob up to see if the small transponder chip is still there it will be on the side of the main prt of the fob itself as most of the time these fall out when keys are dropped and deprecate losing the transponder chip if it is still there and no spare key you will have to get it recoded/ chipped

2003 jeep grand cherokee , first time jeep wont start and the no key light is on. Do the keys that have the chips in them need to be replaced from time to time?

no. those chips does not need to be reprogrammed in time. (it is supposed)
go to dealer and ask them to reprogram your whole antitheft system(immobilizer too)
plus put new batteries to your keyless remote controller.

2001 monty carlo changed battery securty light flashing car wont start. car ran great before any trick or code i dont know to get it to start

Leave the key in the run position until the security light stops blinking. This should take 10 minutes. Then turn the key off, wait 5 seconds and try to start it. The security light should be blinking again. Leave the key on again for 10 minutes. Repeat this 3 times. After the third time on the the next start it should start and run fine. This will reprogram your theft system.

Theft light blinks fast engine turn over but wont start how can we turn the theft light off

You can't will have to be repaired, check and see if the chip on top of the key did not fall out, if not more then likely chip is damage, most mobile lock smith have the computer to reprogram a new chip to your theft system, being you have the key won't be that much, between $60.00 - $100.00.

The engine starts and stops after 5 sec. !!!

Looks like you have a problem with an immobiliser, either the actual chip inside your ignition key is broken or the ECU has reprogrammed itself or for some reason it is not reading the chip. Have you tried your spare key? To reprogram the key you will need vagtacho2.2 or Vagcom and an interface.
