There a few micro switch that tell the a/c to turn on and 1 or both are burned out or broken, the auto parts store may be able to help you if the have a diagnose machine that gives the code, and with that code then will be able to get you the right part.

2008 Honda Accord A/C blows cold from left vent, hot from right

It sounds like the actuator is stuck open on that side, forcing heat to be mixed. The actuator looks like a little shock-absorber and forces the mix of hot and cold air. They are usually way inside the dashboard near the firewall. You might need a mechanic to fix that one.

If the heater core were leaking coolant, the fluid on the floor would be oily not clear.
When the engine is warmed up, are both heater hoses hot ?

2005 civic ex special edition has cool air blowing out of vents in very cold weather....starts out warm but soon changes to cool and stays cool

Could be a couple things...

1. Bad Thermostat.
2. Bad Heater core.

The thermo is a easy fix if you're mechanically inclined. I would look at this first.

Heat won't work when moving.

sounds like the thermostat has a problem and needs to be replaced. The thermostat regulates temp and it defective can either stay closed or stay open and I reckon in your case it has stuck open permanently.
Your manual should show you where the thermostat is located.

No cabin heat.. windows fogged.. engine runs cold!!

chances are the heater core is clogged and wont allow proper circulation for the heater.i would suggest getting a new one put in and see if that dosent fix it for you.

Heater control 98 chevy s10 blazer

These trucks have a problem where moisture builds up in the heater box then freezes. When this freezes and you change your heater settings it breaks the shaft for the blend door. If this is what happened you should be able to look under the dash above and to the right of the gas pedal and you will see two vaccuum accuators one of them you should be able to wiggle around the linkage if it is broke. To fix this you need to remove the entire dash to get the heater box out which involves discharging the AC and draining the coolant because the heater core and evaporator come out. Please rate.

Takes at least 3 tries to start

check under the hood for vacuum leaks this could cause both the heater and the running problem

your flap is controled by engine vacuum and if there is a hose off under the hood you may fix both problems
