Body repair cannot be done at home without the facilities. Here you have two options.
1. If you take the car to company they would charge you with price of original parts+labor cost+tax+overheads, which would cost you too much.
2. In your case the actual position could not be determined unless the car is seen physically. Some times inside bends or dents cannot be seen unless the assembly is completely removed. May be there could be maladjustment of the door hinges, hinges bent, door frame or the front left is pillar bent.
As we calculate roughly, labor cost in open market will cost you somewhat between $40-$45 an hour. If the door is badly damaged, instead of getting it repaired, buy another used complete door assembly from junk or used body parts shop at around $50-$80 and get it be fixed, matched and painted.
In this way you can save Dollars which will be yours tomorrow.
Good Luck.

First - I would recommend you go to a body shop and have it done correctly. Hopefully you have insurance. On the other end, you can do this yourself and the cost and time will depend on what is bent.

To do it "MacGyver" style (quick and with what you have) you can try this; fully ope the left door that is not closing. You most likely hyper extended the hinges and that will pull the frame and door out where the hinges connect. To adjust these you'll need to pull the door off of the car (see the attached link for a how to). With the door off you can use a sledge hammer to pound the metal where the hing connects to make it more flush with the rest of the metal around it. Do this for both the door and car body.

Once you have done this, put the door back on (alignment of the door is key). I like to scratch the outline of the hinge where it connects to make it easier to put back. Use bricks, blocks, friends, etc to help hold the door while you put the bolts back in. Tighten them up and check if it shuts, adjust as needed.

I definitely agree with Dave and Lodhi. While there are ways to do it yourself, the best option is to take it to an auto body repair shop. They'll usually do a better job anyway. As for the cost, you can definitely go in and get a quote beforehand. Also see if your insurance can help out. I hope everything works out! http://www.centralpaautobody.com

Remove the door and install new hinges, (One hinge at a time because of the wiring bundle), making sure that all the bolts are in the original position on the door. Signs to look for are in the form of scratch marks, or paint shadow. If that information can't be seen, then make your best guess, and work on the alignment later. There will be some minor adjustments needed depending on if the inner door jamb that the hinges mount on is also pushed in. This compensation can be made with shims between the jamb and hinge.
Carefully and slowly close the door while looking at several areas: the gap in front of the door and fender, how the door lines up with the door latch, and look to see if the door is hanging at the door latch end. The alignment part takes a lot of patience and skill. Loosen the right bolts according to whether you need to move the door in / out, or up / down.
It is a lot of hard work, and even though I've spelled out most of everything involved, I still recommend that you remove the door, place it in the trunk, and drive it to your favorite, or qualified auto body repair shop. It's worth the money to have someone else go through the trouble. Good Luck.

Could be resistance in one of the tracks, or the motor.
If the motor hits a resistance the door opens in case the resistance is a human.

Window on driver side of 2003 Camry stuck. Had

You can adjust the door latch by aligning the male and female portion of each. This can be adjusted by loosening the screw and aligning it. And finally when aligned, tighten the screw. Unless otherwise if the door hinges are loose, such that the doors are misaligned, then, you have to replace the door hinges. Or put a bushing at the door hinges to keep it
aligned. This will correct the defect.

Simple things first, check the dedicated fuse for that window specifcally. if it's ok then check for ground and power at the regulator motor itself. If you have power and ground then it is the motor.

I have 2002 toyota camry xle window switch not working right

You have the wires connected to the wrong switches. Just reverse the wires with the door panel off until the correct switch operates the correct window. Also, the entire switch for each window on the driver's side could have been put in the wrong place on the switch pad even if they are correctly wired.

I have a 1989 Toyota Camry and am having difficulty with driver seat belt activation. What sensor or component tells the seatbelt to activate? Where is it located?

I have a 1990 camry and my driver side belt stopped working too. The problem is the wires that run from the door to inside the vehicle. Open your door, look in the doorjam for the black rubber piece. The wires inside it bend every time you open and close your door and eventually break. The only solution is to cut the rubber and resplice the wires which is a big pain in the ***. It took me a few frustrating hours, but, I heard it's easier if you take the door off. I left a lengthy amount of wire, wrapped in electrical tape, behind the front quarter panel to prevent it from bending again. This is a very common problem with camrys of these years.
