The check traction control warning message shows up on my dash screen. What is the likely cause of this message. The car seems to drive fine. Just wondering how to correct the issue. Thanks

Get the trouble codes read. That's ALWAYS the starting point before asking for help. The ABS system is what sends data to the traction control system. So you'll most likely find an ABS trouble code in the system to tell you which wheel sensor is causing the problem

Traction off lamp does not work on my 2005 LeSAbre

Traction off - is the normal state of running for the traction control system for this car. If one of the wheels slips when you start up then the traction 'on' light comes on and Traction Off only shows for a short while when it goes off.

Traction control light is on. Is this an MOT failure? Will it be electrical or module failure?

MOT failure ? You must be located in the UK .The traction control light being on indicates a problem in that system an probably has a trouble code stored in the ABS electronic brake control module . Your best bet is to have a qualified repair shop check it out . Or at least call an ask about MOT requirements .

My 1997 Range Rover shows "gearbox failure, abs failure, and traction failure"

If you have a weak battery, change it, the electronics on a P38 are a nightmare,
I have had my share and still have them, good luck

Warning lights what do they mean, a triangle with a line in the middle

This is the Traction Control Warning light. Traction control is device added to the engine/gearbox sytem, and is designed to help minimise wheel spins when moving away, particularly on a slippery surface. When the system detects the wheels starting to slip and Traction control starts to cut in this warning light shows.

Traction control cannot do much to help in severe ice or snow though, so you can expect to see this light showing or flashing if the conditions are extreme.

If this light shows when the conditions are not extreme, stopping and restarting the engine will often reset it.

Hi, my car Jaguar S-type year 2000 shows abs

Could be your Rear ABS sensors , as that is the sensor that works for ABS and Traction control.

Car won't start says check traction control

the car should still start even with somthing wrong with the traction control. sounds like you have a dead battery. i would check it first. and if battery is dead charge it and start the car then take it to your local advance auto and have the altinator checked thay do it for free. if a charged battery dont start the car then you may have a bad starter. again the traction control light will not keep the car fromk starting
