I would have to agree Dwight likely a bad connection at the battery post .If you are sure Kevin that the battery is good .
Some times batterys can what is called a dead cell it will still read 12 volts with a meter off the posts but 1 bad cell and you won't get enough cold cranking AMPS to turn that starting motor.
You can get a battery tester for 10 to 15 bucks looks like an eye droper with 5 little colored balls in it or a floating neddle that corrasponds with a scale good fair or recharge .You will need to remove the caps on the top of the battery and draw the water out into the tester they should all test the same if the battery is good even if it says recharge as long as their the same reading .
If 5 cells are good and 1 says recharge then the battery is no good .
But clean and retighten the posts cables first look for corrostion on the posts its never good baking soda and water to clean

Hello Kevin, I think you should check and clean the battery cable connections at the battery. Also make sure they are tight.

If you have spark, and fuel , and still no start, I'd first pull out the spark plugs and make sure they are not fuel fouled. Dry or replace as necessary. Do you have compression ?

SOURCE: 2002 Chevy Malibu. ABS light

The abs light will reset every time the vehicle is shut off. The most common cause of the abs light coming on is a bad wheel speed sensor. A scan tool would be the option to locate the fault in the abs system.

SOURCE: my chevy malibu wont start.

Hey Debbie. When a car wont start, there can be many things that can cause this. It can get real frustrating real quick. I will give you some things that it may be. If you are good at cars, you need to test for fuel and spark. Make sure fuel is going to the engine and make sure your ignition is sparking. If you are not good on cars, check these. Make sure your fuel pump is kicking on when you first turn the key. You should hear a humming sound for a second or two. If you do, the pump is working. If not, it may be bad. If you haven't changed the fuel filter in a long time, it may be clogged. A filter is cheap, usually 10-20 dollars. A fuel pump is 100-200 dollars. Check your air filter and make sure the engine is getting air. The filter may be clogged/real dirty. You could check the fuel pump fuse/relay, only if you didn't hear the pump. Your timing belt may have broke. You need to spray starter fluid into your carburetor. You will have to take off the air hose to do so. Once you spray it in, try to start the car. If it starts and dies, you have a fuel issue. If it stays the same and doesn't start, you will have to check the ignition system. This included the spark plugs/coils, distributor, dist.cap, rotor, cam sensor , crank sensor, ecm. I know it is a lot to take in but it could be any of these. Let me know if you know the engine good. There are things you can check, if you know how to check them. The only way to check for the problem is by checking each possibility. If you have a question Debbie, let me know. I am here to help. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Ignition relay or fuse could be the problem. When you turn the key to start do you hear a fuel pump kicking on and or do you have spark when you hot wire the starter (I know it's hard to check while trying to start it)? You can email me back and I might be able to pinpoint it more.

Its cold battery is charged dash lights come on and all bells and whistles are going off but no turn over of the engine

Possible starter problem or power supply to it. You can try tapping on the starter with a blunt object ( tire iron etc ) while holding the key in the crank position. If the vehicle starts, the starter will need replacement

Does the starter make any noise or click when you turn the key to start? If it does not, chk. battery could be bad, and battery cables could be loose or corroded. If there good and clean and battery is good try tapping starter see if it will turn and start if it does or still clicks starter bad. It could be ignition switch if it does nothing at all, but if it clicks most likely its starter.
