a very common fault is the switch,the calipers are not much better,they will be able to sort it for you but they are bad news for a modern car !!

Adjust your brake light switch. On brake pedal bracket there should be a switch with a plunger on it. Push your brake pedal and hold, then pull out the plunger on switch, then release brake pedal. That adjusts the switch. Or the switch may just be faulty.

The Pioneer AVIC systems are fantastic. I have a Jensen VM9311TS which doesn't have GPS, but it has the other features, plus XM Radio and iPod interface, and it's a great unit that I love having. Much less money too (less than $400, vs the $1500-2500 for the AVIC).
