Yah it depends on how old it is If its OBD1 pre 95 if the key is in the on pision and you have a screw driver you can jump the hot wire on the started to the solenoid and it will turn if you jump the cluch switch or automatic the park switch .
If you don't understand what I just said call someone to pick you up or have it towed
Good luck

ok you are lucky you dont have to tow it,but, can you steer or shift without a key?if so,and you can pull the plug off the back of the ign switch, you can hotwire, you need to have two wires, one is for power(red) to acc, turn on radio and wipers, when you get it,connect those two,now go from the power to another wire until the starter turns, only connect them till it starts

I need to hotwire my car it's a 2004 Chevy aveo broke key and gotta move the car

Hi Jennifer:
I'm sorry but I can't tell you how to hotwire your vehicle.
To do so would make that information way too easy for unscrupulous people to steal these cars.

My recommendation?
Take the VIN # to the nearest dealer. They should be able to provide you with a key code and you can get a new (and spare) key cut.

You could get vin number and bring it to the dealership, or as long as it is not a VAT system pop the ignition switch and use a screwdriver. Can't hotwire it because steering is locked.

You won't be able to hotwire it due to the passlock antitheft system. Read about it in this link.
