the water pump on the 3.1 isnt to hard to change ...

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Partially drain the cooling system into a suitable container.
  3. Remove the drive belt guard.
  4. Loosen the water pump pulley bolts before removing the drive belt. This should help keep the pulley from turning as the bolts are loosened.
  5. Remove the drive belt. Remove the water pump pulley bolts and remove the pulley.
  6. Remove the water pump bolts and separate the pump from the engine front cover.

SOURCE: How do you remove the

It's not uncommon for the oil pan to get stuck. This usually happens if the gasket was not put on correctly and gunk gummed up the seal, essentially gluing it in place. Use a small nylon, wood or leather covered hammer and tap around edge of pan. (use a lot of light taps to avoid denting the pan). Continue tapping until oil pan comes free. Don't try to pry off as this will deform the pan causing an uncontrollable oil leak.

2002 Buick Century fuel odor

The oil pan is on the bottom of the engine, so any oil leaks from the top or front of the engine could drain down and look like an oil pan leak. It's important to verify that there are no other leaks before having the oil pan resealed. Repair cars by diagnostic tool.

If it does not turn over it will not fire. So I guess it is turning over but not starting. Try a crank sensor, it's on the back side of the oil pan just above it.

Engine is a 3100 still overheats after i replaced the waterpump and thermastat

MOST OF THE 3.1 HAVE HEADGASKET PROBLEMS. THEY USALLY NEED REPLACED. YOU MAY NOT NOTICE IT RIGHT AWAY GOING INTO YOUR OIL PAN. QUICK CHK SIGNS ARE LOOK UNDER OIL FILLER CAP SEE IF IT LOOKS LIKE A MILKY COLOR AND PULL DIP STICK OUT OF ENGINE AND SEE IF IT LOOKS MILKY OR HAS BEADS OF WATER/ANTIFREEZE ON IT.
