Lost firing order

For the 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer:
I do not know if you have the 4.2L In-Line 6-Cylinder, or the 5.9L V8; however I have included both below:

For the 4.2L In-Line 6-Cylinder:
Firing Order:
1-5-3-6-2-4
Cylinders:
(back)
|..6..|
|..5..|
|..4..|
|..3..|
|..2..|
|..1..|
(front)
Distributor:
.....(back)
....5....3(+)-screw
1............6
(+)4....2
....(front)

For the 5.9L V8:
Firing Order:
1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2
Cylinders:
........(back)........
|...8...|.......|...7...|
|...6...|.......|...5...|
|...4...|.......|...3...|
|...2...|.......|...1...|
........(front)
Distibutor:
....(back)
(+).6....5
3.............7
4.............2
.....8....1.(+)-screw
.....(front)

Firing order for a v8 range rover

If it's a 4.0L-(V-8) firing order is 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2. There are about 3 or 4 different V-8's for those, so need to know for sure which one it is.

How do i change freeze plugs on 96 land rover discovery

Diesel or V8 Petrol?

The side one are relatively easy to change after removing the exhaust manifolds but there are two at the back of the engine on the V8 and to replace them means either taking the engine or transmission out. See this pic of the back of my engine: http://p38arover.com/rover/p38a/pix/4.6%20rear.jpg

1984 land rover v8 109 will turn over but not fire

check you have a spark at your ht leads, i.e, turn the engine over holding a lead to the engine, if you can see the spark, then your spark plugs need cleaning/changing, if not check your distributor brush as sometimes the carbon brush wears on v8 land rovers.
