Emission Guys are not technicans & give out speculative advice,
so as to keep the line moving

You need a shop to work on the communication issue, not be
concerned with reflashing the PCM

Change the transmission module and sensor and did not help the problem of not taking off in fisst gear. Took to dodge dealer and they saidI need a new module and sensor. Told them I just had it changed and...

The after market part you used ,may have been the same part
that came off the assy line

Why would you be at a dealer after the warrantee runs out?

They have no intention of educating you & most likely you
were out front talking with a service adviser who knows nothing
about any vehicle & certainly not who did what with yours

If there was a module issue, they could use a scan tool to
get it recognized, if necessary. All pure nonsense as usual

I would suspect the valve body needs cleaning, then if you have
anything internal that works after 12 years, you diagnose the
electrical system, which they have no intention of doing, unless
they can get your money

Try a trans shop & be careful they don't pitch a complete rebuild

I have a 1993 honda accord se, the machanic told me if he took the thermastat out that it will not run hot in the summertime, because it will allow cool water to flow but in the wintertime i should put it...

not true. the car needs to run at a certain temperature for it to run properly, not too cold, or not too hot. what the thermostat does, is it closes off the water circulation to your engine when it is cold. once your car reaches its normal operating temperature, which is a little less then halfway between the two lines in your temperature gage, it opens up allowing coolant to flow from your radiator to engine and back, and let the coolant cool the engine. if the thermostat is not there, during the winter time, especially in very cold climate, your car takes much longer to get to normal operating temperature, and causing it not to run as efficiently as it should for much longer, leading to more problems in the long run. i hope this helps, and dont remover your thermostat. if you are concerned about it, they only cost 15 dollars at autozone. goodluck.

I was told my 96 intrepid has an exhaust system with two (2) mufflers by an auto shop. i was then told that what they said was a second muffler was in fact the catalytic converter. which is true?

Hello

If you were hot gas leaving the engine you would go through the manifold, into a small pipe, then in to the catalytic converter, down a longer pipe and finally in to a muffler. So, the Cat is closer to the engine and the muffler is closer to the bumper. You only have one muffler on that car I guess is the really simple answer.

I hope that helps you

I have a 2003 vel satis with a 3 l deisel engine it is overheating i have been told it is head gasket problem but cannot be fixed because there is a design fault concerning the engine linings is this true

I can't speak to a possible design fault in that particular engine, but if what you say is true then you might find your best solution at AutoRX.com they market an industrial strength (their words) crack sealer that appears to deliver some pretty impressive results courtesy of a video and customer comments This may be the solution you are looking for.
