Change the expansion valve. Yours is close to the dryer(big aluminium canister). You have to open the line to replace it.

SOURCE: a/c in jetta blows hot air, its been charged, compressor comes on.

you need to have it diagnosed by a professional. These are complicated systems even to a trained tech. You may be over or under charged, have a clogged expansion valve, have a leak or many other issues. This model has a rcv refrigerant control valve inside the compressor which regulates the pressure of the compressor. If you notice the compressor never shuts off like conventional auto a/c's do the only time the clutch works is when you turn it on or off. Can be complicated.

SOURCE: air conditioner blows hot air fully charged with

compressor or receiver/dryer or condensor may need to be replaced. Further testing will have to be done. Look into your sight glass and see if there is any bubbles in the glass, or if glass is extremely foggy. If so, you may have air in the system. Check to make sure you are getting power to the compressor.

SOURCE: 1999 Ford F150 AC fully charged with freon is blowing hot air

there are few things you need to check out:
1. if the compressor is overcharged it will shut down and you won't get any cool air
2. the thermostat for your cooling system is bad
3. the link to adjust the temperature is too short (did you feel the switch loose when changing temperature from hot to cold)?
hope this helps.

1999 Buick Le Sabre Custom, My heat, and defrost work fine, but my car won't cool when I turn on the AC. My air conditioning is charged and the blowers work fine but why wont they blow cold air?

The first I would do is check if the a/c compressor is working. Start vehicle then turn a/c on in vehicle full power and then off/on a couple of times if you hear a click when turned on then compressor is working properly. If this is the case then you need freon. If not turning on,first check fuses, for location refer to owners manual,if not fuse then compressor needs to be checked which then you will need service manual purchase at local autoparts store.

Cant find place to charge ac

Air conditioners on cars should only be charged by licensed technicians. This is not only a federal law but an expensive mistake should you nattempt it. You could blow it up. I may not be worthy of any stars on this but it's the truth. I am AC certified and won't tell you.

Ac won't work

large leak in system, faulty low pressure switch, a/c clutch faulty, a/c compressor faulty, system clogged, fuse blown, wiring faulty. orifice tube clogged, too much air in system. read more here:

A/c blowing hot air. 3 out of 5 vents are blowing.

With regards to you a/c not blowing cold there are several faults that could cause this. Your compressor may not be working, they may be a restriction in your A/C lines, your compressor and/or evaporator may be clogged, you may have a leak, or i could be something as simple as fuse.

A/C compressor not engaging.

IF THE SYSTEM HAS A LEAK, THEN THE COMPRESSOR CLUTCH WILL NOT ENGAGE. TRY PUTTING SOME 134A FREON IN THE LOW SIDE(LARGER OF THE TWO LINES). AND SEE IF THE CLUTCH PULLS IN. IF IT DOES, THEN THERE IS A LEAK SOMEWHERE. IF YOU GET THE FREON WITH THE LEAK DETECTOR DYE IN IT, THEN YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO LOCATE IT RATHER EASY. SOME CANS COME WITH A STOP-LEAK, BUT THESE TEND TO CLOG UP THE ORIFICE TUBES. HOPE THIS HELPS. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. GOOD LUCK

1999 Pontiac Sunfire AC problem

Check to see if your system is charged. there is a pressure plug with a green cap near the right side motor mount. If you have pressure then check fuze under hood and see if compressor is kicking in. If not charged it will not kick in.
