Most likely the dimmer relay. Follow headlight wires back to a small box on usually inside passenger side fender. This should be what is called a flip flop relay. This relay receives a momentary pulse from the dimmer switch on the steering column. This relay may be located elsewhere. You may be able to google images for your vehicle and "dimmer relay" you may get lucky and find a picture of it and it's location and perhaps the wiring diagram.

No power to right side (PS) headlight low beam plug socket, new bulb, fuse is good. High beam works, blinker works, park light works. just no low beam and doesn't register any voltage on volt meter.

check low beam fuse when switched on if it has voltage registering across the fuse ,if there is voltage across the low beam RHS fuse then it is possibly a pinched wire from the headlight running back towards inside of the car

Prius high beam lights work but low beam lights do not work?

On a 2008 Prius, If both High beams work but only one side has working low beams, then it is most likely a fuse. So before breaking your knuckles to change the bulb, check the fuse first. I found out the hard way as my mom distressed to me that her drivers side headlights were out. So without checking to see if low and high were working, I proceeded to remove and replace the bulb - ouch! There are 4 10 amp fuses that protect the circuits for low/high beam function. They are under the hood in the fuse box on the drivers side and they are marked on the box cover. Check them before changing the bulb.

My low beams keep shutting on and off but high beams are fine

this could be solved by taking the bulb out of its holder and cleaning the contact of the bulb and holder.
turn the ignition on after this with the bulbs in the holder and plugged in but not in the headlight kitself.Turn the lights on and see if the work if still the same try moving the bulb while on in its older and see if its just loose. if so holding it one way it will work. wedge something something to hold it in place or buy a used bulb holder.
Check the fuses at the same time and the wire plug that powers the bulb. check and clean the contacts of these also
Let me know how it goes and ill help again if it persists.

Have brightlights but no low beam headlights....Changed bulbs but no change to problem

Try checking your fuses. I've seen them blow when the light bulb goes. Hope this helps.

The low beams dont work but the high beams do. we have changed the bulbs and nothing changed

Hi, it might be a fuse that is blown as the high beam and low beam work on 2 different circuits because of the current that each circuit use. If all the fuses are fine you should look for power on the light socket where it connects to the bulb. If there is no power you will need to see if you have power from the switch. If the switch does not give power to the wire leading to the relay the switch can be replaced. If there is power from the switch to the relay, but not from the relay to the lights you need to replace the relay otherwise it might be that you have a bad connection or broken wire

F 150 Head light issue

You know the fuse for the high beams is good ( Cab fuse panel fuse # 16 ) and the pass low beam fuse ( cab fuse panel # 26 ).
Might want to check cab fuse panel fuse #28 ( this is the driver's side low beam ).

If this fuse has power on both sides ( with the low beams on ) next you can pull the headlamps, and check for power at the connectors, but depending when the last bulb change took place, I would say you need need bulbs. ( need at least 1 for the high beam out )
Confirming with a meter at the headlamp would be a good idea, before spending the money.

The bulb connector has 3 pins.
Black wire is ground on both sides
Light Green w/ Black stripe wire is high beams on both sides
Driver Lo = Dark Blue w/ white stripe
Pass Lo = Dark Green w/ Orange stripe.

98 volvo S70 low beam bulb replaced still no light

Easiest way would be to go back to where you bought it and make sure the bulb is installed that you bought....and show them. Ask if you can get a new bulb and change it in front of him. Call the dealership and talk to parts, ask if, indeed the hi and lo are interchangeable.
