I HAVE A 2006 GMCCREWCAB4 WHEELE PICK UP 5.3 MOTOR VORTEX ENGINE V8.HOW MUCH WEIGHT CAN I PULL WITH A RV TRAILER

There should be a plate, usually in the driver's door frame, that states your gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), maximum tow weight, and gross combined weight rating (GCWR). Your truck can probably pull more than this, but it won't do it safely (brakes, suspension, frame load, etc.)

Rear knocking 2000 impala

A broken sway bar will also manifest itself while driving over an uneven or washboard-like road surface. A clanking or clunking sound will emanate from the front or rear suspension. Broken sway bars will emit knocking and scraping noises over potholes and dips, sometimes rhythmically. This happens when a sway bar bushing joint swings freely without support and strikes the chassis frame or control arm. Hope this helps.

Thumping noise in front end 1993 Acura integer

This could be several possible problems. Most likely is a stabilizer that ties the A frame to the chassis. This an easy replaced part and less than $ 100 typically. You should jack it up,black it and inspack the front suspension parts to locate a problem.

Frame that holds the engine etc... is rusted at both ends, does it need to be replaced?

This is something a trained mechanic needs to see. There were also potential problems with some mounting washers on certain models.

The part you are referring to is the "engine cradle" Most Salvage yards cut this part off the Van to drop the engine and trans. If you can find a Van with this part intact, from a vehicle that has not seen any Salt. it can be good.

IF welding can be done to your present "engine cradle" it would be less work. Look and see if your part also supports the Wheels and Suspension. I think it does, and all of those parts would need to be disconnected in a swap and realigned.

If you can get your part welded, its in a place that does not show and if properly done will maintain your Chassis alignment. Old school mechanics say you can not Weld a frame. Your "cradle" is different from a Full frame. There are also different Welding machines now than 50 years ago. Good Luck on your repair.
