If you are drive straight all the time than that part of is getting worn out. you mite see if the are any type of grease points on the steering
column, the grease in the center or as you stated driving straight it make alot of noise, the grease has broken down and now it is metal on metal or plastic on plastic. where as you turn right or left it picks up a little grease and soon you will start hearing the noise in any direction because the grease is braking down or drying out.

make sure there enough fluid in the steering control box, mite look for a condition fluid.

Heard clunking noise when turning took wheels off started motor put in drive turned stering wheel heard noise did not see any movement at drive shafts did see motor shifting frount motor mount wore out...

bad motor mounts will cause some issues, bad CV joints will also cause and issue. You will need to check for both. Being a 99 you will also want to check teh front differential for the proper fluid level, this is not the same as the transmission.

Humming Noise when I get to speed (any) and just start to back off the gas pedal. This noise starts and stops???

It's your wheel bearings..It came from the rear? Well, if it did...then this is how you determine what side you need to change..Read carefully.....find a safe and secluded lot....drive staight and turn your steering wheel to the left and right..If you turn to the left and the noise stops then you need to change your Rear driver side bearing same goes for the other just vice versa......Hope this helps...DO not take it to the dealer unless you're made of money... It cost an arm and leg to fix something that you can do in 20-30 min.... Google it!!

Steering wheel makes grinding noise when it is turned

it could be low on powersteering fluid, its just vibrating through the colum so you could check that first, or it could be the steering wheel shroud the plastic that covers the colum behind the steering wheel, take it off and see if it still does it,check fluid first though...hope this helps
