I have a 1998 holden jackaroo SE automatic petrol car and it starts, reverse but when u put it in drive it doesn't drive if you press on the winter drive it goes so what's causing the problem?

Get a trained person to check the transmission. If it goes backwards but only goes forward in winter mode then there is a trans fault because auto's generally pull away in 2nd gear in winter mode to reduce wheelspin.

2002 audi a4 e-brake won't release

It sounds like your rear brake pads are frozen to the rotor, or a small amount of rust is causing them to stick. Put all the tires back on and try to drive a few feet, that usually pops the pads off the rotors.

Squeek in front brakes and thunk in back when weather is cold or rainy, quits after a block and doesnt occur during good weather. Been serviced for winter.

Been serviced for the winter, just no brake
work done in a year or more

You need a different shop or do your own work

I find it troubling that I have never in 49 years, ever had
one brake issue,I'm starting to think I may be gifted

The problem is the pros just don't use the knowledge they
have or care to resolve brake issues.

None of your squeeking or weather related things should
ever be there.

You can't go to a franchise place in the mall & expect good
results & brake service done in an hour. That isn't how it has
to be done & the quality of parts is part of your problem & all
the rust that never is removed or anything seeing any sort of lube

The service 4WD was on and then stayed on ???? DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are stored when that message show's . There is a control module (computer) That makes this 4X4 system work . It's a module problem.

What are power & winter mode switches supposed to do- don't have owners manual

Hi, my name is Shaun. I will try to answer your question for you to the best of my knowledge. When you engage power mode on your Isuzu, this raises the RPM shift point on the transmission, allowing the transmission to stay in the power-band longer, giving you better acceleration and towing power. Winter mode, on the other hand, blocks out first gear causing a low RPM take-off, limiting wheel spin on slippery surfaces. It also lowers the RPM shift point so that the torque to the wheels is never too great to cause ustable driving conditions on icy surfaces. hope this helps answer your question. Have a great day!

My clutched slipped twice .might need to replaced the clutch completely ? if I do how much would the part be?

Standard or Auto?
And are you driving in winter conditions..... sometimes the cold weather can mess with the slave cyclinder causing a clutch to 'slip'. Mine did this already this winter for a half day then totally worked fine again.
You would 'feel' something different when you push in your clutch.... like stiffer than usual.

What does winter power button do?

I believe the winter power button makes it so your truck starts in 2nd gear instead of 1st gear to reduce slipping and gain traction... It might do other things with 4 wheel drive. The whole point is to give you a better chance in the snow,

When I start driving, the engine revs high and barely goes anywhere. it goes slowly up till 25mph and then is fine. It just started today

I believe '02 rodeo's have buttons for power mode and winter mode located between the shifter and the flip up console. You may have accidentally activated winter mode which cuts power to the drive wheels for driving in ice and snow.If so look on the instrument cluster and "winter mode" will be lit in green, simply push the button again to deactivate it while in PARK.Hope this helps ,good luck.
