Kid safety locks are typically the cause of this. They're in the door jamb, on the door.

SOURCE: rear passenger door on a 2006 nissan sentra wont open from the inside or the outside

If power windows and the same window does not open the child safety switch is a very good possible reason.

Opening the drivers door doesnt automatically open the passangers door

Some vehicle locking systems allow a single button press to unlock the driver's side door and require a second button press to unlock the passenger side door. Likewise, use of the key to unlock the driver's side door does not automatically unlock the passenger side.

My side doors want open from the panels

Did you check the child safety locks in the door jamb?

If you open the door and look at the side where the door striker is (that's the latch that holds the door closed) there is a little lever that, if activated, prohibits the door from being opened from the inside, it's a child safety feature so your kid can't bail out of the car unless you open the door from the outside.

Back doors won't open from the inside

Open the door from the outside and while open look at latch mechanism on door.
There should be a small sliding or toggle lever and it only has two positions.
Flip it to the other position...and this should fix it.

This is a safety feature to keep children from opening the doors from the inside...

Hope this helps...

1997 ford explorer rear side doors not opening from inside. How to fix?

flip the child safety clip. when you open the door, either from the outside or by rolling the window down and reaching out of it, with the door open look at the inside part of the door where if it were closed would set against the frame of the car. there should be a very small switch or tab that you can move either up or down to engage the child safety mechanism. this safety device is for kids who try to open doors while the car is in motion.

I have a 2004 Mazda3 Sedan, the right rear door won't open even if it's unlock. How can I fix it?

From the inside only,or both handles?
If inside only, chances are your child safety lock is on in that door.Open door from the outside and look at it by the latch-there is a small white circle with a flat spot.Insert something(key, screwdriver) and turn. This is a safety function so kids can't open the doors from the inside. From time to time they seem to engage themselves.

Windows don't work at all and only passanger lock works?

Check your window lockout switch, it will either be on the drivers door or the console. It's there to keep kids from playing with power windows. Check your fuses inside the cab and under the hood for window fuses. The door lock problem would be a defect inside the drivers door since both locks are wired together. If this is sometime that just happened I would suggest you contact your insurance company to see about attempted theft damage. Someone could have slipped in a SLIMJIM and messed the wires up in the drivers door. A body shop could tell once the door panel is removed.

1994 Ford Explorer, both back doors wont open. I think the child locks are locked on, but I can't open them from the outside either, I have the door skin off of one of them. Is there a pin or latch I can...

if you can open the door from the outside of the truck when you look at the backside of the door you should see a little opening for the child safety locks one way locks the door so it cant be opened from the inside the way other way unlocks the safety latch the door should be able to be opened from the inside and outside of the truck
