Hold the two grabbers left and right with the indentions facing inward. then enter both at once to the outer edges of radio until they both seat and wiggle the radio loose. could be unplugged.

Is there 2supplies to radio cd

sure , but they have many radio options on all cars.
stock and not stock and many stock too.
yes, main 12vdc power runs the whole radio. and memory power
and if it has an outside amp ,it too has power, 12vdc supply power.
and fuses. all power feeds in car are fused, (cept starter)
so fuses are first.
id the dial glowing or not (data, not just back light)
one other power feed to radio is parking lights back ground lights.
called illumination.

post symptoms first, fully, good the bad and the ugly.
all radio symptoms and we can advise you ,easy
even bench testing is easy.

Fuse box locations

the cd has wires,
if stock the cars FSM covers this.
if not stock CD (stock BTW means, as lift left the factory)
if not stock, CD, then .
A: get brand and pn of this unit,
b: get the manual on line from maker or whomever.
c: now you see which wires are power, follow them.

be aware if the cars radio fuse is good, then the car
has a bad CD or is wired no stock.
some audio gear, have an inline fuse near it, or was added upstream. or has a fuse the GEAR.
those are the steps... if you had told the name of CD gear
and model number, this all is acedemic (easy)

Removed stock radio, replcaced with aftermarket radio and now no power when truck off

try to run a power line from radio directly to fuse box. not thru ignition, just remember to turn off manually, so that u dont kill the battery. most fuse boxes have a connection blade for adding electronics, may need a proper fuse to power it as well. good luck. i hope i helped u with this issue. How do I remove fuse for clock/radio '05 Aveo

I have looked and looked for this myself. I belive since one of the wires runs to the ecu. for the acc power it is branched off of some other . If you need a good reliable place to pull power. Use the power windows Breaker / fuse its on the passanger side it is on acc power for the key.
The other Direct battery feed for the radio is protected in the left fuse box on the drivers side.

Radio won't work.. no power fuses in engine compartment and under dash are good

Remove the radio & check for power & ground at the connector - if power & ground are present, the radio is broken.

After getting my batterry replaced on my 2003 ford explorer sport my radio will not power on? any suggestions

I would start by checking the fuse. If it is good, you may have to pull the unit. Is it a stock unit or aftermarket upgrade? Alot of time the aftermarket radios have there own power wire and the person who replaced the battery may have left off the power wire under the hood. Hope this helps

My cd/radio all the sudden stopped working maybe fuse??

There are two fuse boxes. One is located on the kick panel in front of the passenger side seat. Remove the big cover. Inside there is a second cover that ultimately gets you to the fuses. Try #20 (reference the template on the inside of the cover). There is a second fuse box (high current fuses) inside the engine compartment (on the passenger side of the compartment, big square plastic box). Fuse # 56 (reference the template inside the cover of the fuse box). Same deal.

By the way, there is a fuse removal tool inside the interior fuse box (white plastic piece on the left side of the box). You will need that removal tool to work on the ones in the engine compartment. That other box doesn't have a tool.
Hope this helps.
