Engine was knocking but running good not smoking so we replaced the engine with brand new short block from Toyota. Now the truck is blowing white smoke. What could the tech done wrong to cause this? Or...

Take it back. I doubt the short block is bad, but if the smoke persists beyond a day or two, the cylinder head may need removing to check the fit of the head gasket, and to ensure the passages in the head match the block. Does the exhaust have a sweet smell? That could be coolant burning.

Now it is possible that a little spilled coolant may have collected in the exhaust during the engine swap, and that is why you see white smoke. This should burn off in a day or two. If the smoke persists, and the coolant level is dropping, they need to take it back and fix it, at their expense, at least the labor charge. Toyota may have made production changes during the year on this engine, and that is what needs to be investigated. That, and if the head gasket is correctly fitted.

Fuse locations in fuse box diagram of wich fuse goes to what

You need the owners manual for your vehicle, FORD does not print what fuse goes to whatever on the fuse block, the manual tells the circuit and values.

87 toyota truck head gasket leak. new thermostat, and radiator. Rapid temp fluctuation red to norm?

You need to have a head gasket test done, this is done by using a block tester, this is a funnel type tube, fill a little speical fluid into the tube and then place over the radiator fill, you will need to drain coolant down a little so coolant doesnt mix with fluid, with engine running you hold over the hole and if it changes color then the head or its gasket is bad if it doesnt change then i would take a look at the fan clutch to make sure its working, when the temp goes up it should lock fan up to cool more, another thing is the waterpump impeller sometimes rots away some or breaks and then cooling is bad due to lack of coolant flow.but this is only if the block test fails. good day.

Is there a fuse for block heater on F250 Super Duty 2003 and where? The block heater has stopped working.

There is a high curent box under the hood and another one in the cab. Drivers side behind panel by left knee.

However, I don't think the block heater has a fuse; it's wired direct to the plug that goes into the wall socket. It may have an internal fuse in teh block heater itself.

Weres the oil pan on ford explorer

The oil pan is where the oil collects on the bottom of the engine before the pump picks it up and circulates it back up through the engine. So it will be the bottom most thing, bolted directly to the bottom of the engine block. Generally found about centered between the front wheels. Hint, looks like a pan with many little bolt heads around its outer perimeter. Rarely obstructions from the road puncture it, and often times with age its gasket leaks.

White smoke and lots of it , mainly at iddle, antifreeze and water is going somewhere.

More them likely bad in-take gasket or head gasket, did it over heat, a block test is what need;s to be done to pin point the problem. The white smoke you see is steam from your coolant or water getting in to your cylinder's.

I am trying to install a replacement transmission in a '98 caravan but for reason I can't get bell house to fit flush with the engine block. If I get one dowel to fit, the other one does not fit!!

the best way that I know how to do it is get them close enough to start all of the bolts a little and wiggle as you tighten them in a star pattern

Diesel light sensor comes on

When was the last PM? With the oil change the fuel filters should of been done and before the filter in the engine compartment was removed the small yellow drain valve should have been opened. If it was then maybe you have a little water in the tank. that light should be an indicator for water in fuel.
