  • If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
  1. It's a phrase that indicates pessimism
2. And (if it looks to good to be true it probably is). And in fact that phrase alone is the third highest rated result originating from a site that deals with english usage.
3. Therefore I believe if the preface is the same one could use either adage depending on what the context is..

Hyundai Accent viva diesel

I think they are talking about a cv joint and no the entire shaft doesn't have to be replaced. There are shaft reconditioning shops that are less expensive and if you get one from a reputable shop will last a considerable time . Or you can get a shaft from the wreckers from a car that has been rear ended and possibly low mileage

What does it mean when the drive & reverse indicator light or on at same time and car jerks like it loses pressure in a 1992 lexus ls400, also reverse ligts dont come on doing this issue

I have a 1992 LS 400 and twice it has not shifted out of second and I had instrument lights give false information and once it would not start. Long story short, all problems were caused by broken wires in the bundle by the left trunk hinge. My mechanic lengthened the broken wires and dressed the bundle away from the hinge. So far, so good. Remember the old computer adage, garbage in, garbage out ? This is true re: this car's computer.
