Question about 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
If you arn't getting any codes .I would start with the inline fuel filter.
Under the drivers door behind the frame rail on the fuel line from the tank feed line.
The fuel pumps in these vehicles useally last 10 years .The new ones have upgrades wireing and performance their is 66 ft lbs pressure off the pump .
Even a particaly restricked fuel filter can cause problems

There is a factory idle screw under a cap on the side of your throttle body you have to drill it out and turn it up a bit

I would do a full tune up first. Plugs, wires, rotor, cap and coil. If your idle is still rough consider MAP sensor, idle position sensor, or any other emissions sensors maybe suspect. They usually set codes that would trigger your "check engine" light. On the other hand check belts and tension pully if you have one. Lastley, change the fuel filter put in some injector cleaner. A good shop can test the fuel pressure from the fuel pump. I hope this can help.

Testimonial: "very helpful thank you"
The door locks on my 1999 tahoe stopped working and I checked the fuse, which was fine. The problem turned out to be that the fuse for my cigarette lighter was bad and for some reason it also must be working in order for the door locks to work. Put in a new cigarette lighter fuse and the door locks worked again!

Try beginning with your car off. Start your car and put it in neutral with your foot on the brake. Then press any button besides 4-LO and 4-HI. This should take it out of 4-LO
