As I'm braking, Thumping sound at 25mph. Why? I just noticed that even without braking, just letting car slow down on its own, it still thumps / pulls at 25 mpg. Why?

I replaced the front 2 axles, wheel bearing new replacements & done an alignment. Thumping still occurs while I'm braking to a stop, but it has a smoother thump...Why?

If you have abs could be the system malfunction. Brake calipers, tires switch tires front to back and back to front

Testimonial: "I have front wheel drive...no ABS...brand new tires...I'm not sure about brake calipers, but I also had new brake pads installed. We did discover there was a stub bolt instead of the thick bolt that's right by the axle holding the wheel disc. It too was replaced to the bolt that its suppose to have (hoping this was the cause). It wasn't. Replacing axles made the thumping smoother. According to mechanic...drums look perfect."

Possible bad brake rotors. Either that or something worn like a bushing , ball joint, tie rod.

Hello. I hear a very loud thumping noise from the back of my 2014 Toyota Corolla as I slow down. I have taken it twice to the service station at the dealer and they hear the noise but cannot identify where...

Here are the only reason that can cause a thumping noise
  1. Wheel and Tire Problems
    • Wheels can become bent from striking objects, and tires can develop bulges from broken belts or wear. Both problems may cause a thumping noise. Thumping sounds caused by wheel and tire problems will typically increase in frequency at higher speeds, though the sound may not be heard at lower speeds. These problems can often be spotted by visual inspection.
    Suspension Problems
    • Worn or broken struts or strut mounts can create a thumping noise, especially when the vehicle hits a bump in the roadway. To test struts, bounce the rear of the car by forcefully pushing down on it and letting go. After letting go, the car should settle back to its original position without bouncing or noise.
    Loose Trim
    • Loose trim pieces near or in the wheel well can flutter in the wind while a car is being driven. These trim pieces may create a thumping noise as they strike other objects. A car owner can check trim pieces for looseness to determine if that is the source of the noise.
Hope this helps

When I let my foot off the gas the car engine starts to vibrate and make a thumping sound when going over 25mph. The problem goes away when I hit the gas or the brakes.

sounds like u have a defective constant volocity joint, have a tire shop look at it they will do this for free in hopes of getting the job, Big O tires does this free inspection. I think for safety sake u have this checked ASAP.

2005 honda accord noise when breaking (transaxle)

You say you hear the noise when you "slow down". Does this mean you hear the thumping noise when you let off the gas and let the car coast to a stop or only when you are applying the brakes to decellerate?
If you only hear the noise while applying the brakes then I would assume it has something to do with your brakes. The first thing that comes to mind would be rotors that aren't true or warped which could make a thumping sound.

Do you feel any vibrations in your foot when it is applying pressure to the brake pedal? If you do feel a sort of pulsating feeling then it could very well be your brakes making the noise.

I hope I was of some assistance,
