Question about Volkswagen Cars & Trucks
My check engine light came on a few days ago. I took the car to Autozone to have them run the diagnostic and they came up with the P0011 "A" code, related to Camshaft Positioning. I am trying to figure out what I can do for troubleshooting before taking the car into the shop.
P0011 Volkswagen - 'A' Camshaft Position Timing Over-Advanced Or System Performance Bank 1
' Add Comment
- Dirty engine oil
- Low engine oil level
- Camshaft actuator circuit open or shorted
- Camshaft actuator circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty camshaft actuator

Testimonial: "Yes, I saw this information online. I checked the oil and it was a bit low. I added a quart of oil. Other than filling the oil and getting the oil changed, does anyone know of anything I could test to see if it is due to one of the other possible causes?"
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
