Thanks Steve, I tried removing the glove compartment and looking behind that and no luck. I thought opening up the hood would expose the antenna assembly, but its all sealed up. Don't know what to do next or where to take it. I was thinking of going go the guys who did my system in the van to see if they can help fix it.

Ive done that a few times over the years when I forgot to push the antenna down when going through the car wash. Depending on where the antenna is, you have to get behind the panel it is mounted on. IE/ The guard, roof, windscreen frame. This will mean removal of whatever panel is behind to get to it.

I assume the antenna is through the side guard? If so, you may be able to get to it through the wheel arch. If not, you may have to remove the guard. Sorry, its not an easy job changing radio antennas sometimes. Good Luck

2002 Chrysler Town & Country antenna installation

Did the antenna break off in the mount or did the mount break. If antenna broke off in mount I would try drilling and tapping it.If you need a whole mount.Remove plug from back of radio attach good mechanics wire to it undo outer mount when you pull the wire out of the car the mechanics wire will follow afer you get it out put the mechanics wire on the new one tape over the wire to make it a smooth transition and pull mechanics wire inside the vehicle to reroute the antenna wire back to the radio.Be carefull you shouldnt have to pull super hard

My radio antenna broke off in a car wash. I have purchased the new antenna, but can't figure out how to get the old one out!

The antenna should screw into the base. You probably need a small pair of pliers or an adjustable wrench to take the old one out. Just unscrew as you would any screw (counter clockwise) to loosen.

I took my 2006 Trailblazer through the car wash and the antenna broke off. I have replaced the antenna, antenna mount and cable that leads to the radio. If I'm in the bigger town where I live radio...

Did you replace the antennea with the EXACT same one,or did you get an aftermarket one ? Did you replace/reinstall the rubber/plasitic gasket that sit's under the base where the antennea mount's on the truck ? If you answered yes to ALL of these question's,then your problem lie's in the cable itself. Be sure that you have the CORRECT one (cable) because where the cable connect's to the antennea there can be no play (looseness) or you WON'T get the proper signal.

Power antenna broke and I need to replace it. How

Buy replacement antenna mast. Remove old one by unscrewing the retaining cap nut. Turn on the radio & let the antenna cable run all the way up while you pull on it to remove it.
Install the new antenna mast by turning the radio 'off' so the spool inside goes back to its beginning while you feed the cable of the new antenna down into the antenna mast hole.
Once the cable is all the way down, reinstall the retaining nut/cap and turn on the radio to allow the spool to run the antenna 'UP.'... cycle the radio ON and then OFF several times allowing the antenna to move all the way up and all the way down.
That's it!

Antenna broke off

Hi

Any main dealer should have one, and you can fit it yourself.
All you have to do, is undo the lock nut ring, switch on the radio, and pull out the old mast.
Feed in the new one as far as possible, and switch off the radio,
this will pull in the rest of the ariel mast, then tighten up the lock ring.

Good Luck !

Don´t forget to give me a FixYa rating Please !
