Is the fuel pump working? Have someone crank for you and bang on bottom of fuel tank. If it starts replace pump if not check pump relay for power in and out

SOURCE: crank shaft sensor

That is definately the most improper way to go about the diagnostic process i realize that it costs money to take it to a shop but you have already spent more than it may have cost to properly fix it. Your vehicle is so new even if you change evrything you may not make it start it does not have to ne a "failed" component"
You are are going to have to take the truck to an OBDII shop and have it diagnosed you have no chance of "hitting" it There are security system issues possible and you cannot go on another persons experiences same truck, same engine, same color everything same symptoms and it can be an entirely different problem. Stop now and take it to Dodge and be done with it Believe me unless you own an OBDII scan tool and have many years of diagnostic experiience you are likely not going to fix this one ,sorry anyway what are your symptoms? Exactly every detail

SOURCE: cant get no fire/replaced distributor

if i understand u correctly u replaced the distributor and cap if so i would start with making sure my pick up coil was installed correctlyand or replace it.i also would look at the possibility of it being a powertrain control module or neutral safety switch if this vehicle is equipt with one. hope ive been helpful

Were any of those parts faulty ? Did you test any of them first ?
Since you have replaced the ignition system the next phase would be fuel injectors and mechanical parts.
Have you run a compression test yet ?

NO SPARK PUT A NEW COIL ON DID NOT FIX TOOK IT TO A GSRAGE SAID IT NEEDED A CRANK SENSOR CAM SENSOR WIRES PLUGS DIST CAP AND ROTER RAN ONE DAY NOW THEY SAID A HOLE DISTRIBUTER AND A TIMEING BELT.I REALLY...

If you are sure they said, a distributer cap a roter and a distributer, there is a problem! Because on a 1998
plymouth, there is no distributer or cap or roter.
Your cam sensor along with the crank sensor-temp sensor and a few other sensors, send a signal to the
powertrain control module, that sends a signal to the
coil pack(that you said was replaced) that fires the
spark plug. I would hold off from having any further
work done there, until you can check out what they
say they have already done. Ask if you can have the
old parts they replaced so far. You will want to have
an OBDII scan test done, to see what codes come up. It should have one of the first tests they did.
If I have read your post correctly, have them write an
estimate for what they will replace next. This info. is
based on the car being a 1998 plymouth and not a
1988 I would not wan't to acuse somone of anything
based on a typo. Hope this helps. Good luck.

1989 dodge dakota 4wd will not start

try replacing the engine position sensor, that should solve the problem. it happened to me I got a simple diagnostic computer for less than &60.00 and it gave me all the code for my trucks problem. my truck had a bunch of lights on in the dashboard, and with that diagnostic computer now they are all gone.
