Question about 2000 Nissan Maxima
Hi my name is stephane , i've already sent you a question about my nissan. you asked me for more details. it starts ok it idles ok, but i can only drive it if i ler it run for 10 to 15 minute, and even then i can'to up any steep heels and the pedal is to the medal to reach 60 km/h. how do you check the fuel pressure and i can't fine where to plug in my obdII diag unit. if you could please reply to this and/or have another suggestion i would really appreciate it
There should be a shrader valve (Looks like where you put air in the tires) somewhere on the fuel rail. You need a fuel pressure gauge to test it accurately, but you can tell if you have fuel pressure. After you find the valve, remove the cap, and have someone turn the car on, and you should see fuel squirt out. Be VERY careful because this is raw gas and make sure there is no spark or flame around it. The OBD connector should be just to the left of the steereing column on the lower part of the dash.
