Fuel is most likely reaching the injector but the injector is not supplying the fuel to the throttle body. Check injector plug with a noid light to see if the light flashes indicating power and ground to injector. If no power check ecm fuses

Replacing fuel injector

year car?
TBI or MPI? what engine, there are 4 or more.. 4 and 6 cylinders.
in general. I will spin the Karnac wheel of fortune and land on MPI.

1: depressurize fuel system.
2: remove rail bolts.
3: remove rail,
4: unplug injector connector ,under suspicion. (can be done first)
5: pull out injector from its cushion.

Can a 5.7 tbi be used in a 5.7 vortec truck

I think the heads are different too.
A salvage yard or auto machine shop could probably tell you for sure.

Adjusting the choke

nice engine get rid of the choke all together you dont need it its just to choke the engine for cold starting i would get a 725 cfm without choke for it or turn it over to injection tbi or port. do you have an electric fuel pump you will want one when doing without the choke

I have a 1995 K2500 that had the motor changed to a HD 383 Stroker before I bought it / It also has vortec heads. The oil pressure seems really low to me. About 2 to 5 lbs at idle. About 30 to 35 lb

That will burn out the engines bearings, if it knocks at all it is to late. Do verify the reading with a mechanical gauge if you haven't done so already. The rule is this at least 10-15 pounds at idle with hot oil, 10 PSI per 1000 RPM of engine speed. If engine is not knocking then replace the oil pump with a high pressure high volume pump.

I have a 98 k1500 with 5.7 350 and it wont start, has spark and fuel at the tbi but the injectors wont fire, will run on ether if sprayed down the tbi any ideas

have the fuel pressure checked ,im assuming it is a vortec,
you need about 55 psi continusly to keep it running, i have a 96 2500 sierra. the fuel pumps were known to be terrable in these trucks. i put a new one in, then had to remove it to replace it again amonth later, they are flawed by manufacturing design.
