Overhaul kit for 1949 Chevy 6 cyl AF2036?

Not sure what you mean. Pistons, rings, bearings, valves, springs, distributor, etc.? Or are you looking for a gasket kit for overhaul?
In any case, rockauto.com carries a lot of parts. See the link.

I've rebuit carb.new fuel pump and gas line hose on a 25 horse Johnson.will start but stalls out in a few seconds any ideas why.

adjust the mixture screw either in or out
may have to do this with a few rpms until it settles down
with the carby there are "O" rings and gaskets not shown in the break down that only the service dealers are aware of
My friend found this out after rebuilding his carby and it started and ran but would not develop enough power in gear
In frustration he took it to a service dealer who upon pulling the carby down showed him where the missing "o" rings should have been and explained that the rings are not in the overhaul kit along with some gaskets
after reassembling with the missing parts , the engine performs as new
Knowing that there is a problem I would suggest that you take the carby in to an accredited service center and discuss the problem with them as there is every possibility that although you are doing everything correctly , there may be parts missing that you are not aware of as was the case for my friend

Need head gasket for vauxhall victor 3300 6 cylinder where can I find them

overhaul kits are available from reputable auto spares shops, engine rebuilding shops and from the spare parts department of you local dealer. If you buy on line ,be careful as some generic gaskets do not have all the coolant holes to allow water to flow from the block to the head

Carb overflowing on 1990 vw polo

Pull the carburetor off and rebuilt it, the float is stick or the fuel inlet valve is defective. The carb kits come with full rebuilding instructions, but if you have never done a carby overhaul it is best left to a professional.

My 1986 Dodge Ramcharger is having issues while in idle. While just waiting at a stop light or just having the car in idle period, the truck will begin to shake intensly and after 5-30 seconds will die...

Have you tried setting the idle in drive? If you try that, have a helper setting in there with their foot on the brake and parking brake set. I've seen many high mileage vehicles, that wouldn't idle correctly. Other than an engine overhaul, we would set the idle in drive. At least it wouldn't die every time you came to a stop sign or red light. Yeah, when you put it in park or neutral, the idle would go high, but, you don't drive it in park or neutral.
You can get a carb kit for the carb, see if it helps? The carb kit should have all the instructions you need to adjust settings. In the past every carb kit I used had plenty of instructions. I looked at rockauto.com, they had a carb kit for your vehicle. Find the model number on your carb and make sure it matches their carb number.
If your carb is a holley, you can check the holley web site. I haven't been there in a long time, I don't know if they would have instructions for your carb?

'98 Nissan Sentra GA13 guzzles too much fuel - supercar-like consumption of 12MPG :-(. Newly overhauled engine - bigger pistons (.1 liter up), new piston rings, head gaskets, timing-chain, everything. Even...

I encountered a very similar problem before. Have your carburetor redone. I also spent a lot trying to fix that kind of issue before with the car I'm using (also with ga13ds). I overhauled the carburetor 2 times using repair kits but there are still the same issues and at one time things became even worse. Bring it to a mechanic who works with nissan (not necessarily in the service center) and/or is specializing in carburetors because there are a lot of things that may go wrong inside a carburetor. I brought mine to an expert in Evangelista Makati, Philippines ( well I guess your from the Philippines because I could not find ga13ds from other countries unless I'm wrong) and it only took about two hours without even buying parts, just some elbow grease, smashing, scratching, and some salvaged parts from other carbs- the whole process cost me Php1,800 plus travel expenses. Also, buy a good air filter and make sure that your air cleaner assembly is working properly, these kind o issues are caused by accumulated dirt in the system and it slowly destroys the carb. After having all the repairs done, invest in one aerosol can of carb cleaner and use it on your carb maybe about once a month (I do it that often) it keeps performance as close to optimum as possible and prolongs the carb so it will take a while before it needs to be overhauled again. The MPG however, may not be the same as before. Since it's an old engine and engines tend to consume more fuel proportional to its age (according to my mech engineering undergrad brother), the MPG may be more by a bit and it is also affected by the engine overhaul, because of a lot machining and making things larger by a bit, the engine will increase cc (I think) by an amount that will also affect your MPG.
There..I hope this helps..Good luck! I love these old carbureted engines, they're so simple to tinker with.
If you're from the Philippines, the man to look for is Mang Vising in Bgy. Bankal, Makati. Just near the INC church there in Evangelsita. Coming from EDSA, turn right just before you reach the INC church and just ask around.
God bless!
