Question about Buick Cars & Trucks

Is the fuel pump relay working ?
Are you loosing spark or fuel pressure ?
The engine computer must see oil pressure or RPM to keep the pump relay on.

ok if the fuel pump is energizing and you can hear it turn on then the pump is working fine and you probably have a restriction. i would replace the fuel filter. when you replace the pump did you replace the strainer on the pump? if not then thats where your problem lies. also could be the fuel pressure regulator also. there is a schrader port on the fuel rail try taking a pen and press down on the core to see if fuel squirts out. or connect a fuel pressure guage to the port and see if you have the right fuel pressure. it should run between 35 and 47 psi

SOURCE: i'm having trouble starting my
i dont want u to be a partz replacer like those dealership boyz-it could be that the fuel pressure regulator is bad-thats why repair manuals r so good-see u r gettin spark but the petrol not there-hopefully the pump was installed rite-now the regulator is in engine area n thats where to concentrate

SOURCE: My 95 tahoe starts but
did you install the oil pressure switch origional to the tahoe? The tahoe uses a low oil pressure shutdown, instead of an inertia switch to shut off the fuel pump in the event of an accident. If the pressure circuit does not close within 3 seconds after the engine starts the fuel pump shuts off. This is in case the truck is on its side or upside down the pump will shut off.
