Not damaged for sure .....if you did a lot of stop and go stopping fluid could have gotten hot and came out the vent or yes if you bottomed out there could be a hole in the pan and if the fluid on the ground was red then tranny shouldn't be damaged if it was brown nd foamy then i would be concerned that mens internals clutches and disc burnt gears wouldn't work because not enough fluid in tranny to create the pressure needed to engage gears recommend figuring out problem before starting or trying to engage gears because even starting at this point could damage tranny because torque convertor is spinning and spinning internals dry

Transmission fluid, if it poured out you have a hole in the pan or something. The trans is severely damaged

How do you check or fill transmission oil on 2011 toyota sienna 3.5 V6 engine?

toyota sienna 2011 model has a sealed transmission that's why you cannot find dipstick. the transmission fluid is rated up 100k miles that you don't need to check the fluid.

My 2002 toyota sienna has never had its trans fluid changed. It has 69000 miles on it. No troubles yet but the fluid is brown. Should I just drain what comes out of the drain plug and replace it ?

Yes, absolutely.

I don't think you'll find a drain plug though. (You might, but I doubt it.)

If there is no drain plug, you drain it by removing the pan from the transmission.

My new 2010 Toyota Sienna XLE Ltd daytime running lights (DRL) do not seem to come on in any position of light switch on stalk. Light came on in older Siennas (2004) whenever van was started regardless of...

first, your vehicle is under factory warranty so I wouldn't play with anything. Second make sure that the emergency brake is completly off, third some vehicle drl systems only work when the vehicle is taken out of park. I hope this helps.

2002 toyota sienna change transmission fluid and

The drain plug is on the bottom of the transmission. Its torqued to 49 nM.
1. Remove tranny oil pan drain plug
2. Drain old fluid (roughly 2-4 quarts)
3. Reinstall drain plug.
4. Measure amount drained in a 99 cent orange juice pitcher from Walmart
5. Pour back the same amount drained using Toyota Type T-IV fluid (available in 1 quart bottles from a Toyota dealer.
6. Start engine and shift slowly through all the gears ending in Park.
7. Check fluid level on the dipstick. Add fluid, if necessary, to bring the level to a point inbetween the COLD and HOT marks on the dipstick.
8. Go for a 20 minute drive and recheck fluid level. Add fluid, if necessary, to bring the level up to,
but not beyond, the upper half of the HOT range on the dipstick.

As in 1973, NO FLUSHING is needed and NO FILTER REPLACEMENT is needed, NO PAN REMOVAL is needed. As, as in 1973 todays Toyotas have a metal mesh filter screen that doesn't ever get clogged except in rare cases of transmission operational abuse, including failure to ever change the fluid for 150,000 miles or more.

I changed transmision fluid of toyota sienna 1998,after ten days reverse gear not working only forward gears working, what is cause,no check light on dash board.

Changing the fluid will never harm your trans unless you do not fill it back up.

Reverse is all hydrolic. There is no electrical that could cause it. If you have park and forward, you don't have a lincage problem.

As much as I feel for you, (I satarted rebuilding transmissions in the 80's) you will have to get it rebuilt.

Sorry
