Usually located inside trunk. There will be a small access panel that needs to be removed to see the switch.

Where is the fuel pump reset for 96 infiniti i30t?

Infinite doesn't have an inertia fuel pump cutoff switch (turns off fuel pump in a rear end collision > 3 G's), that is Mazda and Ford.

XLE. Why is no gas coming out from fuel injector?

Unless such a switch is an aftermarket fitment I think it is unlikely your car is fitted with a manual fuel pump isolator switch though it is possible it might be fitted with an inertia fuel pump cut-off switch.

Such switches have proved to be very reliable and unlikely to be faulty and unlikely to need resetting unless the car has suffered an impact or been involved in a collision.

If the car is fitted with such a switch the location will be found in the vehicle handbook.

In the absence of a collision causing the switch to trip it is probable another fault is causing your problem - fuse, fuel pump relay, fuel pump, crankshaft sensor...

Is the Inertia switch and the fuel pump relay the same thing?

No. The relay powers up the fuel pump and the inertia switch kills power to the fuel pump in the event of a collision to prevent a fuel related fire.

2010 nissan versa got in a collision. Wont crank over. Would the fuel inertia switch cause this?

Fuel inertia switch stops the fuel pump running in the case of a collision causing a broken fuel pipe which otherwise could spray a litre of petrol every few seconds and rather spoil someone's day.

Certainly a tripped inertia switch would prevent the engine from starting but I doubt it would stop the engine cranking, though I don't have up to date information on the model and there could be different safety regulations where you are.
The inertia switches are accessible and resettable so why not just reset it and try again. Your vehicle handbook will have the details.

An immobiliser stops the the engine cranking on some vehicles as well as stopping the spark and injection and often the fuel pump.
Bridging the battery positive wire to the solenoid to make the starter crank the engine won't be switching the rest of the stuff back on.

Inertia switch keeps cutting off while cranking engine

Power goes from the fuse box to the fuel pump relay to the inertia switch and then to the fuel pump motor.I would suggest bypassing the inertia switch for now just to see if you can get the vehicle started and go from there. FYI The inertia switch is just there in case you get in a collision and shuts fuel off. Good Luck

It got wrecked and i fix it but it wont start

Did you check for an inertia switch. Most vehicles have an inertia switch installed in the fuel pump circuit that cuts off the fuel pump when involved in an accident.

Car will turn over but won't start. Through the

No noise from fuel pump when you turn over the car .First thing get voltage at fuel pump relay checked, is there 12 volt to the relay. If no, then problem is again the relay.--------- To reconfirm the problem, try other test, that is remove the relay and by pass the relay terminals with a jumper wire .Then with 12 volt external battery give power to fuel pump connector and see, if the fuel pump starts, then its clear that fuel pump relay is faulty.----------- Also other problem can be fuel pump inertia switch. If the inertia switch is faulty then also fuel pump will not start.-------- The fuel pump relay on a 1995 Ford Explorer is in the power distribution
box, in the engine compartment, driver's side near the firewall.----------
The fuel pump inertia switch is in the right front passenger area
it is below the dash but above the carpet in the right hand corner.--------
Its a push button type inertia switch.
--------
Fuel Pump Activation
When ignition switch is turned to START position, PCM operates fuel pump relay to provide fuel for starting engine. PCM senses engine speed and shuts off fuel pump by opening ground circuit to fuel pump relay when engine stops or engine speed drops to less than 120 RPM. When ignition switch is in ON position, EEC power relay is energized (contacts closed). Power is provided to fuel pump relay and timer in PCM. Fuel pump receives power through fuel pump relay contacts.
Inertia Fuel Shutoff (IFS) Switch
All models use an electrical interrupt switch in fuel system. During a collision or vehicle rollover, electrical contacts within inertia switch open, shutting off fuel supply to electric fuel pump. Fuel supply is interrupted even when engine is running.
A reset button is located on switch assembly. If electrical circuit trips, vehicle will not restart until switch is reset. Fuel system should be inspected before resetting switch.
IFS switch is located under instrument panel, near right side of transmission hump.
----------- If the fuel pump relay, the inertia switch and fuel pump all checked ok, and fuel pump is working with direct 12 volt source to fuel pump. Then problem relates to computer. The computer (power control module, PCM) is faulty and has to be replaced.--------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

How can you tell if the inertia switch is reset? I can still see a red line in the switch.

The fuel pump inertia switch button will be flush with the switch housing when activated. Just need to depress the switch till you hear a click. You can also test the switch by giving it a sharp tap with your hand. It'll trip the switch when you do.

FUEL PUMP SHUT-OFF SWITCH

If the engine cranks but does not start after a collision, the fuel pump

shut-off switch may have been activated. The ''Fuel Reset'' indicator light

will illuminate in the instrument cluster. The shut-off switch is a device

intended to stop the electric fuel pump when your vehicle has been

involved in a substantial jolt.

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

2. Check the fuel system for leaks.

3. If no fuel leak is apparent, reset the fuel pump shut-off switch by

pushing in the button on the switch.

4. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Pause for a few seconds

and return the key to the OFF position.
5. Make a further check for leaks in the fuel system.
