Check fuel pressure

sounds like you have a short in the steering colume causing the smell and the smoke.is there something that is not working that was before this happened that is controlled by the switches on the colume.this can indicate what switch is bad and causing the problem.it will have to be checked out to know what item in the colume is the problem.

change ur clockspring in the steering wheel colum

is the anti theft light on? did you swap the ignition lock and key with the original ? if not, do that first.

You will have to take the turn signal switch out to see what happened. That means taking the steering wheel off probably. Which requires a large socket. You tap lightly on the nut once loose, while lifting on the wheel, to release the taper.
But be sure to disconnect the battery first if you have an air bag in the steering wheel. They are explosive.

No such thing. Someone was blowing smoke up your ****. The power steering pump adjusts how easy or hard the vehicle steers. It is non adjustable.

I have the same problem with my car and at this time i know thear ia a kit for this problom it is to take the colom aparte with out any probloms and it should *** with a manual you should be abole to find one at a parts store and if you need bolts for the colum take one to a hard ware store that atualy sales nuts and bolts.
